Beautifully done! 🎶👂❤ Very close to the original but I must say this was recorded by the final lineup of the Moonstones in 1972, by which time Clarence had left the Moonstones with two other members of the band and formed the Golden Chimes and Annesley Malawana was leading The Moonstones. The Lyricist of this song was one Carlington Gunawarna who was a friend of the then Rhythm Guitarist Mike Gunasekara, who made the tune and did the music direction of this song. It was Carlington G. who wrote the famous Dunhinda Manamalee song too.
This song is not a composition of Mr. Clarence Wijewardena. It was written by Mr. Kalington Gunawarna and melody/music were done by Mr. Mike Goonasekera.
@@1inabillion I’m sure of what I have stated here. Unfortunately it’s not possible to publish a photo of the original record cover here. The two songs, “Thotiya” & “Dunhida Manamali” were recorded on Sooriya label (CHB-023) after Mr. Clarence Wijewardena left the Moonstones.
