When you left, I was asking myself where are his goggles. My Patton started squeeking after I rode it in the heavy rain. I fixed the problem by working white lithium grease into the axle bearings, there is a video on my channel about fixing the Patton squeek with the grease. The squeek got loud enough that I was embaressed to ride the Patton when it was making the noise because it disturbed people when I went by. It is brave venturing into a storm on an EUC, so cudoos. Goretex jackets work to keep the rain off, motorcycling across BC has proved this to me.
@@Duf Hey Duff, I have the V11Y and found that the jump pads (the ones made by Inmotion) dig into my legs when I ride. Do you have a suggestion on a different jump pad or I just need to wear something on my legs to stop the hurt?
@@EUC_Senior Some sort of two part pads would work better so you can space them however feels good, like what you see here on my Patton. Those came from Ewheels.
I agree with you Duf, over the future years I think the patton still will be a master of robustness, agility, ride comfort, best at urban and off road classic, over its big brothers! Please let us know in the future if it really affected the bearings over time!?
@Duf yep. Once I leave the train station I have about 6 miles to work with not a single shelter so once I leave iv committed. Bought some rain clothes tho so that helps but my shoes and socks stil get wet
Hey Duf! One of my full face helmets is a motorcycle helmet and they do in fact sell at least 2 versions of windshield wipers that actually work by attaching it to the face shield. In fact I installed one from Amazon 2 weeks ago that works amazingly! Mark
Thank you for riding in that horrible weather and getting soaked just to entertain us. The only weak point I have read is Rawnei said there can be water ingress via the buttons and to cover them with clear adhesive book covering.
I washed my patton and it leaked into the charge port as it's in the front. If the patton is on the kickstand, the water will pool into the charge port hole, which caused slow electrolysis and corroded the port a little bit. The charge plugs should be water resistant now, but it's still a concern. My wheel is fine though, and I created a 3d printable model for a more water-resistant charge cover as I was concerned.
Waterproof clothing can have the coating wear off after a while. You should buy something called Nikwax tech wash. It will restore the waterproofing. Also just did this kind of ride on my V14 albeit it was light rain. Def don't recommend lol. Hopefully I won't have bearing issues
It's astonishing that it's been some yrs for 'wheels' being around, I can think of just 2 that have water resistance on the tin. Why is that, we see the most basic products now with official water resistant ratings. I would go for a Pattern next but, is it rideable on the West coast outside of summer ? For the prices charge, we're all being ripped off.
As far as I know Inmotion has been the only one doing consistent water IP ratings although I think Begode might be dipping their toe in that water, pun intended.
Finally you're taking advantage of Florida weather 🙂
I ti did not feel like much of an advantage lol

I figured the goggles wouldn't help much. Hopefully my bearings survive the dowsing!
As a Patton rider, I appreciate your doing this for "science"🤣
I've had two different people in two different situations ask if I'm security🤣
You are welcome, I have never been asked if I was security!
I thought you were in Scotland at first Duf, that's what it's like here 350 days of the year 😜
Remind me to not move to Scotland
😂😂 Welcome anytime Duf
The only problem with water tests is that it won’t be obvious till months later when your bearings may have rusted.
Well I have seen near immediate results when my new V11 got wet.

Should I just get a hold of ewheels and tell them I want a 2 part system that would work on the Inmotion V11Y?
@@EUC_Senior Sure or just ask for the pads they include with the Patton.

I will be testing it this week to see if anything was affected
@@Duf did you encounter any issues with little Patton since the rain shower ?
@@Vince4343 Nope it has been fine.
It's winter here.. this is basically my ordeal on my daily commute to work lol
Get rained on a lot?

Righteous, going beyond what any man has done before.
Stupidity pays off!

LOL, thanks buddy!
@@Duf You’re welcome! Ride safe!
If it's anything like the lynx it will be fine in the wet. Iv washed mine with a pressure cleaner
I assume it will be fine.

Yea if you can avoid riding in the rain you should do it
Lmao....vodo looks! Yes, I can attest to those. Never labeled them as vodo, but I like that description.
Yea it was a little weird
I love a good 😂😂 vlog thanks Duf
Glad you enjoyed my wetness!
Lazyrolling...there is no substitute (for EUC wear - small selection, amazing products, love my Armored jacket)
Sweden can do weather :-)
Lazyrolling is waterproof?
The clouds behind you at 2:24 looking like they could form into something, doubtful but still sus. I’m an Oklahoman we see a lot lol.
I was out rolling about 15 minutes after the tornado warning expired.
All for science
All about it
So far we learned that EUCs and water don't mix. But do they float? Somebody should test that. 😅
I should test it
Patton : 1
Wireless Mic: 0
I let the mic dry out and it still works, for now
EXTREME!!! 😉
EXTREMELY wet

Niiice weather 👍
Nice if you like moisture, a lot
@@Duf from the Cold Dry North to the Hot Humid South, this looks rather refreshing
@@Planet-ICELAND Haha I hear ya
I'm sure my v14 could do that. I don't want to.
Yep most modern Inmotion wheels are pretty water resistant. I definitely do not recommend following the example in this video
Why is there cuc army writen on the wheel ? 😂
That is my website, eucarmy.com
