• In 1973 brachten Gabriel en Marie Yacoub het mythische album 'Pierre of Grenoble' uit. Dit vormde de voorloper van de legendarische band Malicorne, die grote invloed op vele folkmusici zou hebben. Na 11 albums, waaronder Almanach met 500.000 verkochte exemplaren, en talloze awards kozen de bandleden voor andere artistieke projecten. Dit betekende in 1981 het einde van Malicorne. Een eenmalig reünieconcert op het festival van La Rochelle in 2010 smaakte naar meer. Gabriel en Marie besloten een nieuwe band onder dezelfde naam te formeren, met musici met wie Gabriel Yacoub in de loop van de tijd heeft samengewerkt. Het repertoire bestaat uit bekende Malicorne-songs en nieuw repertoire. Kenmerkend zijn nog steeds de prachtige polyfone zang, de bijzondere arrangementen en het gebruik van oude en moderne instrumenten.
