      It's easy to just find this stuff online, then it's just wordplay to make one become false. Take the water cups one for example, it's a true concept made false just because he doesn't specify all of the steps in the initial video.

    Round 1: Well I got the 1st one correct, knew that cotton gloves would do that, and I have seen a happen before, so I knew it was b.
    Round 2: I got that wrong, I knew option a worked, but I thought it was option b, cause I think I saw it not doing that before though maybe it was with salt, but thank you for exampling why the smaller balloon went faster than the larger one.
    Round 3: well I knew it wasn’t a, I’ve seen that thing before, unfortunately though I thought it was c, cause my sink works the same, but however, it doesn’t act like that, and I didn’t know about that for option b, so whoops

    I've just binge-watched every episode so I can't be in the "episode one gang" but WOW! This is a very high quality and yet simple and understandable series that helps people understand science in a fun way! Congrats, man. This is a great series and you've definitely earned the attention you've been getting. Every video is high quality and yet not over edited or milked and/or selling out!

    I also like to play with steel washers at work. You can use anything magnetic to make a metal chain. In my case I would use the magnetic end of the screw driver and make a chain of steel washers. Usually it only gets up to maybe 3 or 4 before the magnetic field from the screw driver becomes too weak for me to attach more washers.

    Got 2/3, since I reasoned for the first round that he could be using some magic bubble solution that makes the bubbles more durable 😂
    Also, back then I thought that the smaller balloon won due to favorable aerodynamics of smaller objects, but after being taught about the properties of gases recently in my general chemistry class, it all makes sense now.

      Glycerine added to bubbles makes them more durable. I thought he may have used that in addition to using the glove.

    You got me with the water weight experiment. I didn't realize the water is placing an upward (boyancy) on the finger; following Newton's law, that applies the same force down.

    Round 3 I just assumed you had water in the straw. All 3 seemed correct to me. I didn’t realize you meant an empty straw would siphon…

    I remember don't stab with a pencil you'll get lead poisoning when in fact it's graphite powder and clay. The led thing was a way to deter the stabbing those bastards.

    Oof. 1/3. Didn't think the bouyant force would increase weight on the 1st.
    On the third, I've seen the water siphoning trick before, but didn't know it needed that first step so I thought it was the rare all 3 are true.

    That balloon one has my mind reeling, I would think a balloon that was blown up to a larger size would definitely have more pressure acting on it because the stretchy latex (or whatever it is) would act like almost a spring and store energy.

    I don't think the faucet staying in position is due to thrust from the water exiting. Could it be a feature of the faucet?

      the water pressure pushes the movable part outward, creating friction against the part that holds it back. This friction helps it keep its position.

    Next video idea: magnetism induced by magnets in iron is strong, and for some reason [magnet - iron - iron - magnet] combination will be ripped on one of magnet - iron connections and not iron to iron. I've experienced this with spherical magnets and steel balls from ballbearings.

    Round 1: I'm pretty sus of B. Even if your hand is supporting the weight of your finger, your finger is still exerted a buoyant force on the water. A and C both feel out there, too, but not unbelievable. I'm gonna go with B. (Aha! That was a good challenge)
    Round 2: I'm gonna go with C. While it will settle into an equilibrium eventually, the air flowing between the balloons will have momentum, and thus overshoot equilibrium on the first pass. It's going to oscillate a little before settling to equilibrium. I know that graphite conducts electricity, and that connecting the terminals of a battery creates heat, so I'm pretty sure A is true, and while I'm not sure about B, it feels like it could be true. (Huh, right for the wrong reasons. Go figure)
    Round 3: Oof, this is another tricky one. B is true, I learned about it in school. I'm a little sus of A, because I know self-starting siphons exist, but I don't think that's a correct design for one. But C, I'm very sus of, since in my experience with those types of faucet, the thrust they generate isn't much compared to the force of the retraction system. But for some reason, I'm inclined to distrust my instincts this time, so I'm gonna vote for A is fake. (Yay for doubting my instincts! I'm 3 for 3!)

    How does the smaller balloon have higher pressure?

      Because the rubber of the balloon needs to stretch a lot at the beginning since the balloon needs to stretch a lot more to hold more air. Comparatively, the rubber of the larger balloon needs to stretch far less because of volume tripling when area is doubling.
      In the bigger balloon, less rubber needs to stretch, so less rubber exerts force, causing a lower pressure.

      It's because rubber doesn't act as a spring. In a rubber band there is almost the same amount of tension if the rubber is stretched 20% or 80% of its maximum stretch.
      Pressure is force dividend by surface area. In a small balloon there is almost the same force from the tension but much less surface area so the pressure is bigger

    Round 1. I think A is fake, but it seems like it'd be hard to fake
    Round 2. You made a valiant effort, but I think entry A is fake
    Bonus round: The balloons will reach the same inflation level... maybe
    Round 3. It seems like it'd be easy to fake B, but the siphon in A seems stranger

    Balloons - what matters is the elasticity of each balloon and how much air is in it because that will affect the pressure inside. You cant just say “the smaller balloon” or “the larger balloon” unless you know the balloon’s properties are identical. You rightly point out its the difference of pressures that seek to equalise but the pressures depend on the balloon properties and how much air is initially put into each.

    Well, I was wrong about the weight of water, but there was some physics I wasn't thinking about.
    I misunderstood the balloon question, I thought "smaller" simply meant less inflated. I knew the pressure would equalize.
    The syphon was easy though, actually if the straw had two more bends in it you could start it without having to fill it first.
