I love your channel. I am an amateur stylist. I have no training but I love doing hair. I have been my families stylist for years. I recently followed your instruction and did this haircut on my daughter ( at her request) 2 months ago and she loved it. Her dad wanted to take her to a professional stylist last week for the first time on her 13th birthday too, in his words, " let a professional do it". I agreed with him and to my surprise, the professional stylist didn't even take out her scissors to correct what I had done. She just cleaned up the back of her neck with the clippers, flat ironed it and sent us on our way. I was shocked because I told her that I followed your technique on youtube. I was soo proud. With that, I am now researching cosmetology schools in my area. Thanks for the free education and please continue to do what you are doing.

Thank you so very much for explaining what you're doing and why. So many videos now have no vocals, only music which is not a good teaching method regardless of their finished product. I'm in full agreement with you about going back into the hair after drying and putting in more texturizing and doing finishing touches to the cut. Great job!

Thanks for doing this Pixie. I've been wearing my hair short for a long time but I needed an update and I have similar hair issues as your beautiful model. Having the cut drawn out in a picture that shows which side is longer, beginning where, and what to do with my thick hair on the nob on the back of my head. I don't want to see my skull *since I am getting some age on me", but I don't want all of my cut to be perfected to show my great cheek bones and then to leave "a hump" on the back of my head. Thanks for your help. I can show this to anyone.

Hi Matt, Im not a hair stylist but I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me. I have fine thin straight hair and I have to wear eye glasses all the time; is there cuts or styles I should stay away from? My hair is a little past shoulder length. I am seriously considering letting my natural color grow out, so far I have about 6 months growth. The transition is not strikingly noticeable but in order to get there I had to lift the color and caused some damage to my colored hair. I am terrified of short cuts for many reasons but mainly I fear it will never be cut twice the same way. Have you ever denied a short hair cut to a client because you didn't think it would it would improve your their appearance due to overly strong or weak features in the face, head or neck of your client? Sorry for so many questions but the only reason I have long hair is because I get the same anxiety from hair cuts as I do when I go to the dentist; I'm just looking for answers from a real pro! Thanks
