She would be a good world champion for sure. But I wouldn't be so sure she will be. Remember Loana Lecomte in 2021 ? She won the first 4 world cups in style but was tired at the end of the season and didn't participate to the world championships. Last year, PFP was not so strong at the beginning of the season and dominated the worlds ! Another example was Yolanda Neff when she won the Olympic Games (not a strong season in world cup, very strong for the Olympics !)... The MTB season is a long one and it's not easy to be strong from start to finish !

@@florenceetalexismartel8365 really think she can, she manage her race calendar pretty well even if her objectives this year are the overall + paris2024 qualification and she might do TDFF. Worlds this year are very early so if she don't do TDFF is easily manegeable.

Pretty respectable course- the climb's too short, and the woods trails right after are too wide, but it's still got that 'peddle your guts out until blind then plunge into dark wooded switchbacks' aspect to it. Real climber's climbs and bar width single track through genuine wooded darkness after used to make pure fortitude and course position more critical though, as even a mediocre 'downhiller' could put a big lead on the field by hitting the trees ahead of rivals. The *real* race then was whether the field could reach the big-time climbers and pass them before the gnarly stuff began. With a good course set, after hitting the infield and village, the climbers were just catching up around the start/finish line to do it all again...having all that prime passing action happen mid-mountain way above the village doesn't do much for spectatorship though. For real fans, it was definitely worth the hike.🙂
