What a great performance! John Squire is using the Les Paul again for this song and it I think it sounds much better for it. It's a bit rockier sounding than their performances of this song at the reunion shows a few years ago, and I much prefer that. I love all the bluesy noodling and the use of delay on the guitar at times. The solo is just great. Ian Brown's voice seems unusually good on this song and on some of the others I've seen from this concert. I wonder if he has been working on his voice or if there is some slight use of auto-tune.
I see that I was wrong and Squire was using a Les Paul for this song a few years ago. Somehow it still sounds a bit stronger and rockier now, to my ears.
The Truth Mani's basslines on this song are actually fucking superb, but Squire's playing takes all the focus away. Check out the Schroeder Mix to hear the bass turned up.
With the Initial reunion, squire was dialed back and playing like he had in 89. Perfect. Here, it is like the coke head squire of the mid 90s is back with his massive ampstacks and overly loud.
john squire, best guitar in my generation
best concert I've attended. I've seen a thousand
A thousand cocks?
Simply WOW. (5:12)
This is favourite Roses tune
When they got it right they really REALLY did.
Thankyou so much for this footage
This is the closest live I’ve ever heard Ian sing this to the studio version.
yeah..couldn't believe it,he sang great at msg

I’d say it’s a slight use of auto-tune haha. Still an absolute tune tho!
I was at this show, I think it’s their best live performance !
Awesome!
One word .... squire
The Truth

The kingdom’s all inside
Ian sings it spot on although squires maxed out on the amps with his ego can barely hear IB unfortunately
The Squire Show.
Pretty much 😎
What about the other 3 guys loser
Which ones Liam,?
Stone Roses II (2nd Coming) = Led Zeppelin V (after IV and No Quarter from HOTH they sucked). Squire did his homework.
They sucked? Physical Graphitti is their greatest achievement!
Squire,,,,,,,,, artist.
I reckon if Reni had 3 bass drums he'd still manage to play them somehow.....
Can only hear the fucker on one ov me earphones
Yeah XD
I can't wait until Mani rejoins Primal Scream, Ian makes a solo album, Squire makes some art and Reni goes back to doing nothing.
New years resolution?! After 7 years of waiting for TSR3 even that sounds optimistic x
All about squire and how fuckin loud he can turn his guitar up. Turn it down
A shambles
How poor.
go watch guns and roses boring old shit then
Great guitarist terrible singer
Not important.I think that guns and roses singer sounds rubbish but thats my opinion. The crowd appreciated this show.
Wow that was messy, not the easiest song to play live, I would of left it out.

That's what Breaking into Heaven is about though. It's about those booming cutting guitar tones
Awful!
Yh it sounds ramshackle. Original is amazing tho
