I feel like the “connection” that’s being pushed is more thematic than anything. I imagine the castle will be redesigned to match the tv show and they’ll be trying to tie in some voice actors for the TV show (Simon Pegg to play Phineas Black’s portrait in the show etc).
Exactly! I also thought about the topic of the philosophers stone. It keeps people alive. Whose was so sick that they had no hope and a brother who would try anything to save them? Right, Anne and Sebastian. The mirror of erised shows what a person really wants. Maybe MC sees their family or something from their past wich gives more insight? Maybe the castles will be similar?
That would be such a waste of time and resources to rebuild the castle (not saying your idea bad, you’re just spitballing) as they already have it built and took a lotttt of time for HL

Give. Us. Companions. I feel like the developers should all be required to play Skyrim. Because they already know how to make compelling characters, if they can add that skill onto Skyrim’s companion system, then that would be great. Because at a certain point I started wondering what the point of us having an Owl was if we couldn’t use it. Ever.
The new game needs to follow a darker story, along the lines of Sebastian’s story. Harry Potter was always dark and creepy the main story in legacy feels so out of place.
Yeah but I feel like the environment is gonna get old really fast. Even just hogwarts, even if you changed where you go outside of hogwarts. For those of us that 100% the game, going thru hogwarts for all those hours again collecting shit will get old fast.
I didn't hear any rumbles about that, just DLC a sequel so far. I don't know if I'd like a live service game with a Harry Potter theme. I'd personally rather them spend that effort in co-op of some sort.
Hogwarts Legacy sold so much because it’s Harry Potter… but the game kinda sucks. It’s pretty but there’s zero depth to any aspect of the gameplay or story and most of the dialogue is unbearable. They made it pretty and then really phoned in the rest of it.

Elden Ring came out a whole year before Hogwarts Legacy. Elden Ring released February 25. 2022. Hogwarts Legacy February 10, 2023 and were BOTH the best selling games of the year

@chitt77 sorry I should have been more specific for your smooth brain. Elden ring dropped first and made legacy look like a cheap ripoff when it dropped. Everyone i know has a similar opinion. I don't know a single person who played the game for more than a month or 2. Graphics were disappointing mobs were boring and mechanics were a complicated crap stain. I also can list atleast 5 games that did better than legacy in 2023 alone. Then 2024 came along and destroyed what was left of legacy. Probably would have been a cool game 10+ years ago

Legacy flopped it was not the best of 2023 plus it dropped during elden ring and just looked like a knockoff
