Wow, there were a lot of sketchy options on this list. The first two in Cana and Pham, no way Elias goes that route. I think Profar might be the only one who could be used in a platoon type of rotation. Not sure they spend the money or years needed to get Teoscar if they let Santander walk. Elias would also not consider O'neil with that horrible strike out rate and injury history. When I first saw how low his RBI total was compared to his HR total I knew there was a reason for it, definitely the strikeouts. Kjerstad is the wildcard in this situation. He could be dealt in a deal for pitching or kept and given more playing time next year to prove himself as an everyday slugger in our outfield. Finally, we arlready picked up O'Hearn's option for 2025 so he is gonna be in the mix as well for some starts in RF.
Give the position to Heston. Let's see what he can do for a full year - let him go thru his up's and downs. Find a OF ((4th/5th) player that can play all 3 OF positions.
Do we think the Orioles can outbid the Dodgers for Hernandez? Or can the Orioles outbid all of the big name teams for Fried or Snell as starters? To get Crochet, the O's would have to give up a couple of more top prospects. Don't know if the would do that.
We should make a real play for both Profar and Teoscar while also going for a true Ace. They're moving the wall in, so there's no reason not to go after Teoscar now.
Teoscar isn't a good fit. He's a dead pull power hitter and will lose several HR's to the massive LF in Baltimore. He's just a worse version of Santander offensively and defensively.
@@brandondillman5841 I agree. They don't, necessarily, which is why I don't think they go for a guy like Teoscar. They do need RH bats, and probably need at least some pop from the right-handed side tho.
@@drewc771 I'd like to get Harrison Bader. A guy we all know can cover some serious ground out there and who you'd have no problem slotting in 8th or 9th in the lineup. Idk what kind of contract he's going to get though. I'm sure a lot of teams are targeting him.
We need a 2B, 1B, RF, 2 SP (at least). I don’t wanna hear anything about Holliday. He and Mayo didn’t do anything last year to warrant roster spots imo. We can’t factor them into the dugout right now. We are in a worse spot than ppl realize. The AL east is going to keep buying guys and buying guys and re-tooling. We finished second bc Toronto and Boston laid an egg. They’re not gonna be like that again. You can bet your a$$. We can’t be having conversations about Mark Cahna dog. We need to go big
We ain't getting all those things, and we really don't "need" a few of those things. They're definitely going to plan on Holliday as the main 2B, but even if he's not it, there's Urias, Mateo, and Westburg that can fill the spot. You're right that Jackson has yet to prove himself as an everyday, but he's shown enough to deserve the shot, imo. It wouldn't make sense to block the position by bringing in someone else, especially given there are already answers there if he does fail. Same on 1B, at least for now, as long as O'Hearn and Mountcastle are here. Right-handed hitting OF we definitely do need. Everybody wants several SP, but imo, we don't need 2 more, and would be ok if we didn't even get one. Don't get me wrong, we could certainly use another one, but I really don't see us going for 2 in FA.
Jackson Holliday was abysmal. I don’t think he did anything last year to deserve anything but Norfolk. He could one day be the guy but if this team is going to be a real contender we need real players
@@b-easy1433 His March and April stats were so bad, it really kills his year end stats...but if you look at when he came up the 2nd time, I think he definitely showed enough to give management confidence. The average still wasnt there and the K's were still high, but he was making strides and we've seen this with all the young guys. It takes time. We'll see, but I actually feel pretty good about Holliday going into this next year.

The news is Colton Cowser.

Say no more, gimme Jurickson Profar!
Give me Heston in RF - and let’s go get an ace pitcher
We still need at least one solid right-handed hitting outfielder.

I also question how many FA right-handed power hitters, period, would even consider coming here
@@drewc771 I don't think they need any right handed power. Just a righty platoon outfielder that can play good defense.
