I'm glad to have found yr video as I needed to re-programme my DX6i so thanks ... I need to point out an obvious modification to your settings though,,,, You really should reverse the Flaps also as it is so much easier to panic flick your thumb up and switch to save mode rather than have to reach above the flap switch and then pull it down. This seems very obvious to me I guess other folks may have done this but you should definitely amend your video for the beginner ';-) ...
For the life of me, I can't figure out why they wouldn't include the DX6i setup in the manual as it seems like everyone owns this transmitter. Much appreciated bud.
Thanks for your video. Just so I'm clear, it looks like you're programming a transmitter for a 200srx heli on an acro airplane channel, not on the heli settings ? The screen shot shows model 6 as an airplane. I'm going to try it and set it up the way you show it, but if you have any insight about this I'd like to hear it.
I havent read through all the comments, but my question is: can you set up this transmitter to still have the throttle hold/cut operational and move the third flight mode to another switch?
This set up works only that i need 70% throttle to hover.I tried lowering THRO,i did get lower stick spooling but still quite annoying having the stick up that high for basic flight.I guess im stuck till Blade releases heli settings for the dx6i,as there is no throttle curve adjustment in acro mode.
I need about 70% throttle on my Dx8 as well... It seems this heli is a bit underpowered, although it flies really well. And so you know, these are the *BLADE settings for the Dx6i* :)
Is the set up the same with an older DX 7 transmitter ? Just ordered the heli with rtf but was wondering if I could fly it with my existing rc radio ? thanks Scott
Hello, How does the +100% Gear and -48% Gear select the three flight modes of operation?? After you setup the DX6i you could goto the monitor screen and see a range change on the travel with ELEV, AILE and RUDD while switching between the different flight modes?? Thanks
I have the same thing showing on my screen. I show elev down arrow, aile right arrow, and rudd left arrow. I sure would like to know if this is a problem before I try to fly and put scuff marks on my brand new Blade 200. How about it Earthling? Can you bail us out?
Michael Brown Hi, I noticed that the arrow changes direction by moving the stick. So I tried my BLADE 200 SRX and it flies great, good heli but a little underpowered. see my videos with three modes
Thanks! I haven't flown this heli for a while. It really is a great FP heli! But, because I haven't flown it for a while I can't remember for sure the switch. It's different on different transmitters too. Check the manual or give horizon a call so you know for sure.
Hi, Great video! At 1:10 in the video it shows ELEV in the up position, mine won't change and it is in the down position. If you could help it would be appreciated. Regards
Hey Bryce, if you reverse the flap switch it is then very easy to flick your thumb up and activate save/panic mode quicker & more accurate than trying to reach above the flap switch& pull it down !! ';-)
Could you review the dx5e that comes with the e-flite apprentice. I want to buy a parkzone p-51 and it has a spectrum receiver in it so the dx5e should work. I wish e-flight had shipped the apprentice with the dx6.
Sadly I don't have a DX5e, but I do know a few people that have them, and mostly now use them for buddy boxes because they have moved onto better transmitters. he DX5e will work just fine for the Parkzone P-51 though.
+Earthling1984 I came here to ask the exact same question... i'm trying to decipher exactly how you're programming the modes. The 230 has 3 modes like the 200 but all the guides online say you can only have 2 modes programmed at a time
Earthling you gotta help me everytime I get a rc heli I always get bored with it and also it ends up broken ; ( after about a month I realy want the 3d helis because they look good Help ; (
Thank you very much indeed, just followed your instructions and it all worked perfectly.
A first flight without drama, life is good.
Thanks again.
MrAtheHun :) Happy flying!!!
Thank you my friend. Got em locked in. I'll be getting the heli next month, cant wait!!!
Hey Tab! Well done bud. Your covering all the bases from DX8 to the DX6i. Another go to video for new pilots. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. I wrecked twice before these settings. You rock and again, thank you
More good info...thanks bro....I will soon add the 200SRX Heli &200QX Quad to my DX6i controlled Hanger
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I HAVE THE BLADE 200 S AND I THINK IT SHOULD BE THE SAME. I'LL GIVE IT A TRY.
You`re THE tutorial man !! Thx much ;-)
You're welcome! :)
Nice job! You are a good teacher. Appreciate your excellent videos.

where can i find a video showing the setup for DX6 transmiter to Blade 200SRX
hi, so no changing anything at the receiver to effect these controls? just do the settings and it works?
what about the setting on the new Spektrum dx6 radio, is there instuctions in the manual or do i need to go to the web, thinking of getting this heli.

Tick Tock just how they set it up to work.
I have a small question
in TRAVEL ADJ, how to have elev with up arrow
and AIL with right arrow ?
Great video thanks

I have a dx6, is there a difference? Rather than the colour?
Perfect video...thanks...just one question: the panic mode that you switch on by pulling up and down the 'flap/gyro' is the SAFE MODE right?
Thanks! I haven't flown this heli for a while. It really is a great FP heli! But, because I haven't flown it for a while I can't remember for sure the switch. It's different on different transmitters too. Check the manual or give horizon a call so you know for sure.

have you try the O shit yet? would love to see what happens.. God Bless.
Is there any way to change the "panic" switch from FLAPS to the momentary TRAINER switch?
Hey Bryce, if you reverse the flap switch it is then very easy to flick your thumb up and activate save/panic mode quicker & more accurate than trying to reach above the flap switch& pull it down !! ';-)
What are the standard settings for 450x with the Dx6i..
it works! Thank you very much sir. ur d man!
Glad to help!
nice i needed this

What about settings for the new DX6 radio
Could you review the dx5e that comes with the e-flite apprentice. I want to buy a parkzone p-51 and it has a spectrum receiver in it so the dx5e should work. I wish e-flight had shipped the apprentice with the dx6.
Rates aren't adjustable with the dx5e are they?
Sadly I don't have a DX5e, but I do know a few people that have them, and mostly now use them for buddy boxes because they have moved onto better transmitters. he DX5e will work just fine for the Parkzone P-51 though.
Cory Reeves There is a dual rate on the DX5e, no expo as far as I know. But you can setup a low and high rate.
Thank you, I guess if you have retractable landing gear the dx5e will work for that as well. I fly helicopters and quads, I want a better radio .
I would really suggest looking into upgrading for sure. The DX5e is fine, but can't beat the settings you can do on a computer radio.
My heli won't do nothing what should I do?
Any chance you have set up a 230S on the DX6i with all 3 Channels? I used your settings for my 200! 👍
+Kevin Touchet I don't have a 230S :(

will the Blade 200 or 230 BNF models bind with any radios other than Spektrum....thanks
Gary Vale I think just Spektrum radios.
Ok, I am fairly new to helis so I was trying to save a few dollars by getting a cheaper radio,...thanks
Earthling you gotta help me everytime I get a rc heli I always get bored with it and also it ends up broken ; ( after about a month I realy want the 3d helis because they look good Help ; (
i have no gear and no flaps on my dx6i
