    Excellent video. Very clear and no superfluous yackety-yack. Thanks for the ideas - going to give this a try!

    You are a lifesaver! It was taking me forever to cut up the thread to a shorter length. This way is so much faster!

      I'm so pleased it was helpful! With lots of craft supplies, things can get a bit chaotic without a few good organizing tricks!

    How do you manage not to get tangled? It’s a great tip, thank you.

    • @cynthiatreenstudio-threadf4463

      When you pinch the entire bundle and only pull one thread at a time, the thread slides cleanly from the bunch. If you grab two or more it does not work because all the threads have a slight twist that holds them together. Hope the technique is working for you!

    Im trying this but if u pull 3 strands. Does it tangle?

  • @stephaniemudd7528
    @stephaniemudd7528 2 года назад

    I’m wondering, when you pull a strand will it come away tangle free? Or do you have to take it off the skein and untie it to get a strand ? :)

    How long is the single floss if arrange like this

    • @threadfollower
      @threadfollower  3 года назад +2

      So sorry for the delay! I didn’t realize I was getting so many comments on this one! I break each new skein into 8 equal lengths which makes them 8.7 yards devised by 8.

    Interesting. Right now I’m using bobbins.

    • @threadfollower
      @threadfollower  3 года назад

      That works too but I prefer not having the folds that the bobbins create in the thread. If you allow the slip knots to remain loose you never have any folds or kinks.

      Forgive the delay, I didn’t realize I was getting new comments on this older video. Im not sure I understand your question… can you share a video with me to illustrate the problem? Cynthia.treen@gmail.com.

    Do you split your floss before using it

      I typically use one strand from the 6-strand bundle to stitch my felt animals.
