This ended up far longer than expected so I've added chapters to try and help a bit. Also thanks to every one who sent me get well messages, I became far more unwell than expected after my previous videos but I am feeling far better now and back to making some videos!
Get ready for a bit of a novel in your comments lol. I really enjoyed your perspective on this one. Your ability and willingness to share your opinions and talk about things that may be difficult is really eye-opening (pun intended) and it makes me want to have more conversations with people in my life. Also your ability to say "I don't know, so I'm not going to have an opinion until i do further research" is really refreshing because sometimes people have strong opinions about things they know nothing about. I really like your perspective about the ending where Ren drew the eyes on the captive and then he was able to be seen for what he really is which made him self-destruct in a way. I really think if we as the human race can come together and use our collective brain power that we can free ourselves from the shackles of hypocrisy and truly make the world a better place. Ren has made me open my eyes to the way the world works and if we can find common ground with each other regardless of anything, we can change the world. I can't wait to see your reaction to part 2 and 3 and hear your perspective and opinions. Thanks
Thanks Farfromheaven. Agree with everything you have said regarding coming together and having honest and transparent conversations to try and make the world a better place.
@@TherapistReactsOfficial I do not get credit for this, and it may have been pointed out somewhere else in the comments, I've only heard one other reactor mention it. Masked man (Romain Axisa, from Ren's band The Big Push) does not put up any resistance to anything Ren does...until he has eyes. At that point he tries to defend himself when he can 'see' what is going on. A small, but significant detail.
Thank you for such a thoughtful reaction, and not being afraid to think and speak about the politics of Ren’s work, and the workings of the world. So glad you are feeling better! ❤️🎶. Looking forward to your reactions to Money Game 2 and 3!!!
The very best reaction that I've seen on this video! The video may take longer, but everything you've said is so in depth that not one word less would do. Thank you for another wonderful, insightful reaction! 🌻
This was a fantastic analysis! You gave really powerful real world examples of exactly what this song is about. Thank you! Looking forward to your thoughts on Money Game 2 and 3! (Oh and be sure to do the lyric video for part 2.)
Really great reaction and analysis. And you could say we're the captive or we're the captor however you choose to look at it. Excited to see your reaction to the other two parts.
One of the things i love about ren is his ability to get people to talking aboit things like what he brings up in all 3 of the money game songs. Its incredible. 😊💜💜🐷
Wow this is a whole step up in terms of reaction video stuart!! I think you got every bit of your analysis spot on!!! I loved your breakdown of the money game from theresa may, to the sunak oil deal and everything else you spoke about. You definitely share a lot of my views of things, but you had the facts to show it which is great!!! And yep this was a one take which if i remember what ren said it took over 130 attempts to get right!!! Dedication to seek perfection!! Now for part 2 do the lyric video (there is a live version but its only a subset of the full track so trust me and do the lyric video for it) Amazing reaction and analysis!!!! And then yeah part 3 steps things up to a whole new level once again
I love a person with a clear mind and insight and not let them scare away from the truth. In 2020 a group of behavioural experts wanted to be in the talks in the beginning but our government in the netherlands completly ignored them..... Ofcours they didn't want them there they would have seen the manipulation of this sherade.
You got it all right on the first go, my goodness... I needed more times through to understand. Awesome reaction and commentary. Thank you :) ! Take care.
Whenever I open my mouth my mind questions whether I am opening myself up to be sued! And its hard thinking in the moment of actual examples without going too far back in history, and also without anything that is too current that I havent had the chance to reflect about properly myself.
Thank you for this thoughtful analysis. I genuinely appreciate the care you take with your in depths interpretation. You're qute good at this. Also Ren rules.
Great reaction! Just a wee note: make sure you watch the lyric video version of Money Game part 2! (The live version is significantly cut down and without music).
Def watch the lyric video first, but the other one is also worth watching!! I was absolutely stunned to see Ren sing all that with no music, just walking along a beach. It's quite beautiful!
In 3 days, it will be the 1 year anniversary of when Hi Ren premiered. It currently has over 22 million views. I think it would be really cool for all of the reactors/people to make a video for Ren, telling him what an impact he has had on us all this past year. He's changed lives.
I expected a medical/psychological analysis. Turns out, you got a fairly elaborated political view as well. I'm impressed! It'd be good, if people made informed decisions. More often than not, people make dumb decisions that harm themselves or others.
As the whole world turns the whole world burns. Yes, like the monks protesting at the end. This is such a theatrical compelling video that a viewer cannot turn away from the drama while Ren teaches us a lesson. I, once again, appreciate your look into these videos. Great discussion.
I have seen this so many times and it never occurred to me that Ren was addressing the one in the chair as 'dear Mr President'...clearly shows who is talking to who. whom? I always mess that up.
I'm looking forward to it too, and like you say how they all join together and my reflections on that. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Way to go Stuart. You bring up so many points that I have also researched and my conclusions head in exactly the same direct as you. So glad there is a movement forming of people willing to publicly speak about these conflicts of issue, questionable funding ethics, lack of governmental and political choice for the people; and limited voting rights. The fact that our own Prime Minister is currently unelected by the people says it all. We all have to ask ourselves how can we take back and divided fairly the power and the money the 1% currently has an iron grip upon? On the face of it, it seems impossible, but we should all never give up trying.
Really enjoy your reactions as I can tell you’ve been bought up well but are not too full of yourself that you can still learn from mere mortals like Ren. So you give a different viewpoint than most other reactors I watch and it’s really interesting. Dunno if I wrote what I meant correctly there but hopefully you get the gist. Look forward to the next one 😊
I loved your breakdown on this one! Always a great reaction. Thank you! As far as my thoughts on freedom of speech, I’m American and think citizens should have as much freedom as possible. If you say something that upsets someone else, I’m much more of the mind that the scandalized person should say, “hey, that’s rather offensive to me because…” or to let it go. Usually it’s a misunderstanding or someone generally didn’t know what they said was offensive. Having that discussion is usually a good thing. We’ve lost discussion in modern day culture and it’s place has been taken by outrage and canceling. Anyways, I should probably stop here before I write another book.
more often than not if you just ask why someone said the offensive thing you will get a sometimes very reasonable answer or atleast understanding for their perspective even if you feel the thing said is not adequate. (except when it comes to trolls of course but they too have their reasons) and its in that conversation that you learn other perspectives. and even if you cant empathize with why what was said was said, everyone has to learn to agree to disagree. thats how honesty and transparency make for good relativation of circumstances in many contexts. i guess i am continuing the book

You know, you have to do the other 2 too. ;) But I have a suggestion because I feel that you reacted not to the best songs of NF. I have found so many reactions to this and 2, 3 to be surface skimming and lacking because individuals will not discuss politics at all. How people can react to these without commenting on politics is beyond me. Well done and thank you.
Interesting reaction. Ren definitely gets people thinking. He said in an interview recently, something like, he was given advice to answer questions with more questions. He certainly managed that! I disagree with your interpretation of the, admittedly somewhat vague, 'there's no left, there's no right: in the middle we sleep' line. I don't think Ren was trying to encourage us to go further left or right on the political spectrum. Elsewhere he has said that political left and right are made up concepts just like money. In my opinion, they have their uses as shorthand, as categories for thinking and discussion, but could be unhelpful if we pick a side to do all our thinking for us and have a scapegoat in the other side. I'd say Ren's lyrics here are more a call to wakefulness and examining our opinions. He talks about hyper-polarisation. In his promotion of Money Game part 3 and the Sick Boi album he talked quite a lot about collective intelligence and coming together to solve the problems of our society, and not being all about what's in it for me.
Is there a possibility that you'd be willing to react to more of XXXtentacion music? Not to discredit the songs you've reacted to so far, but i believe that the older songs X released have a certain type of feel or charm to them and I really want to see what you think hearing them. I recommend 'snow' as a great song to start with, it's my favorite X song and it gives a really good insight into depression while remaining a somber and melodic listen. The music video by the channel SN has almost all the correct lyrics featured, which is a rarity with older X songs, so I'd recommend watching that video in particular.
I'm really good at spotting problems (like most people), i'm not so good with coming up with any solutions! So actually that would make me a pretty good PM thinking about it!
Hey you should react to: A Screwed Up True Story by Rob Level. It has a lot of things in it that would make for a good analysis. I would love to see you react to it! I love your videos. It helps me understand some things I am going through as well
More ren please. Ready for you, heretic, everybody drops and the big push - wade in the water/Nina simone/trouble so hard, and sympathy for the devil cover please ❤❤❤
I feel like I need to ask for forgiveness from you for my stereotyping behaviour. I have watched a lot of people react to Money Game Part 1 - as well as the subsequent parts (which are brilliant, by the way) and I took things at face value. Therapist? Money Game? Maybe not much can be attributed to both aspects mentioned... so... I'll leave it for now. So I did leave it. For a couple of days. Then I watch this and I'm blown away! How could I have been so naive? I have adored your reactions thus far, but for some reason, I had figured, 'Ah, this might not be the best.' I can now correct that thought, in hindsight, by saying; 'This might be THE best' reaction I have seen to Money Game Part 1
My personal interpretation of drawing the eyes on his victim means that now Ren has told the person what's going on, so the victim's eyes have been opened. The victim can now see what is to come. Then the eyes being there contributes to Ren's realization that he is doing the same thing as those in power. So many ways to interpret the guy in the mask too. At first watch, I assumed that the guy in the mask was a politician that Ren kidnapped. So all the terrible things Ren is doing are vigilantism. My previous thoughts about the eyes fit quite neatly into that. But I've heard and considered many other ways to see this situation since then.
When I was in college we had someone literally yelling at people passing by that they deserved SA because they were female going to higher education. I won't get into their twisted reasonings, but the school and police refused to do anything because of "freedom of speech." Technically our state did have a law on "Fighting Words" or speech specifically designed to get a rise out of someone, but it was basically unenforceable.
Would love to have a conversation with you about what's going on in the world and the NHS, the WHO . As an ex nurse I think we would be on the same wavelength .
Referencing "Freedom of speech" There's a difference between talking "to" someone or talking "at" someone with no intention or desire to reach compromise. (Should I say, thats right out of the Donald Trump playbook?)
Sadly speaking, episodes like this may tend to quite soon become archival remnants of personal freedoms among the human experience. Is there hope for a reversal to this current trend? Is it so infant that it can be called that or have we all been frogs in water dangerously approaching the boiling point?
I haven't heard your full reaction yet, as I'm typing this, only eight minutes in, but over here in the U.S., we have a separation of Church & State, where the government (supposedly) has no say or sway in religious matters, so there should be a separation of Economics and State. In such a case, the government cannot create laws to control, regulate, or mandate how the individual (or corporation) trade with one another--with money. The "money game," is set right now, in the politician's favor, trading favor for favor, by force of law. So, I think most people get it wrong, blaming the corporations as paying off government officials, when it's the laws of the system, which make the politicians millionaires by creating laws to fill their pockets from what they rake in from the corporations (their pay-off to look the other way, or to pave their way.) That wouldn't be possible, if we took that power away from the government. Same situation with the lowest paid individual, who needs to find the correct box to check on their tax form, to lessen their income tax for the year. Just a start of my rant to chew on. :)
Hi Stu, I very much enjoy ur videos but it felt like you were out on a limb with this one. You’re great when you’re within your area of expertise or just talking about life in general, but you seem to get unnecessarily conspiratorial when touching on the political.
30:13 Rare wisdom.
I believe ren said that this one took like 120 takes to get right. He said Hi Ren only took 4 takes
Do you fancy changing jobs, I hear the PM job is coming up start your on party and I’ll vote for you 😅
I'm really good at spotting problems (like most people), i'm not so good with coming up with any solutions! So actually that would make me a pretty good PM thinking about it!
37 seconds into the song and you "cracked it"
Trade used to be based on a "Barter" concept, but You cannot Tax a "Barter" economy
The moment you said "2 cheeks of the same arse" I thought wait for "there's no left, theres no right, in the middle we sleep"
Another song that would fit would be Survivors Guilt by JoeyBada$$
I have adored your reactions thus far, but for some reason, I had figured, 'Ah, this might not be the best.'
I can now correct that thought, in hindsight, by saying; 'This might be THE best' reaction I have seen to Money Game Part 1
Can you do last myself by Parker Jack it’s a great song and I love the song and keep it going you are doing great
When I was in college we had someone literally yelling at people passing by that they deserved SA because they were female going to higher education.
Juice wrld dark place pls I’ve put notifications on waiting haha
You gotta check out black - Pear Jam (mtv unplugged) id love to hear your thoughts about it! Best song of all time in my opinion.
Freedom of speach doesn't mean freedom from consequences
Hello! I have a suggestion. Trauma by BoyWithUke, I think you will enjoy reacting to it, hence the name it talks about trauma.
I'll check it out.
@@TherapistReactsOfficial oh that’s awesome!
🌻❤️
👍☺️
Referencing "Freedom of speech" There's a difference between talking "to" someone or talking "at" someone with no intention or desire to reach compromise.
(Should I say, thats right out of the Donald Trump playbook?)
He’s good isn’t he
Sadly speaking, episodes like this may tend to quite soon become archival remnants of personal freedoms among the human experience.
That is not the type of content I aim to consume. Just throwing this out there. I will still be an avid watcher of your content. All the best.
It was amazing! XXXTENTACION - The remedy for a broken heart, next?
