Can't wait for part 2 but please bring at least one friend and some gear. If I know you, you'll be scurrying up that ladder!

Awesome, awesome explore! You sure do need to go back and camp a few days! Excellent! Thank you for sharing! Oh and that first cabin with the half walls probably had canvas or screen on the top half. Loved the root cellar! Great job!

If you noticed, the boards in the roof the width of them goes to show how big the trees were back in the day when they needed Lumber . Today you won't find boards that wide

Somebody put in a lot of work, gathering and stacking the stones for the cabin and out buildings.
I'm sure they're gone now but the fruit of their labor lingers on. Sort of bitter sweet.
    Thanks for the video.

Hi Jerith, wow what a stunning find, that old ore bin is still in a great state of repair, that intact in situ Sheave wheel has to be the star of the show though
what a fantastic find. I agree, I have never seen any ore bins like this either that have the ore chutes in different orientations, very unique.
Oh man how heart breaking to have to leave the mine, I do understand why though, will you be doing a revisit soon as the BLM love to bat gate these off.
That mine looks fairly extensive, the colours in the veins are so beautiful and so vivid. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤

Most of those ties had date nails with a number like 38 meaning 1938 03 like 1903 I would look for them they would be on top of the ties

Great explore there, Jereth, it looks like you ran out of available time and battery power for your light just as you were getting to the most interesting area of the mine. When you return for Part 2, I hope you can bring some extra batteries and some rope for climbing into some of the more difficult areas. It would be great if you could manage to pull a couple of ore samples. God Bless and stay safe.

25:21 Looks like there would have been a large overhead wheel/pulley that would have been positioned on top of those two posts, so the ore would have been hoisted up and dumped into ore carts on the rails.

Really enjoyed the mine site trek and explore!! The lead up to the mine is important so keep doing that. This mine needs more explore and an hour long would be OK by me for a revisit. Found the mine online easily but nothing linked up properly to get a vertical chart or much more detailed history. Don't know if you could include detail history, old photos (if pubically available) and more detail in the geology you appear to be knowledgeable if on the various strata. Thanks for your efforts so far !!

You need to look for date nails in those ties, because that's the way in the old days they knew when to replace a tie, based on the 2-digit year on the head of the nail.
