I'm loving this content! Been playing WoW for 19 years and I still level through all this myself from time to time. I love your humor and your take on this iconic game.

TBC was famous for giving you crazy mismatched items that made you look like a 2nd rate clown while leveling.
Also, those bigger boss quests used to be hard enough to require grouping to kill Arazzius (3 competent people, or 5 noobs) and Blacktalon (any two people, or solo if you burned a couple cooldowns)

It’s not TERRRRIBLE but yeah my fashion is off LOL. But that’s actually pretty cool! So they were almost like world bosses. Obviously I’m glad it’s not like that anymore for this purpose but that would definitely foster the classic grouping and social aspects I always hear so much about in the old expansions.

Okay Soal, this whole Past thing really only relates to Warlords of Draenor and the Mag'har orcs who arrived from that alternative reality and became the allied race. Other than that, and maybe some select quests where you see past events as someone's memories etc, and some cinematics that consist of several parts, - nothing in the game really occurs in the past.
And if you think of it, no one who played TBC as current content could even think that they would ever play in an Un-Disintegrated Draenor, an alternative version of it, and in the past no less! So, if anywhere, in TBC there is clearly no past events to participate in, it's actual current timeline =) When I first heard that Warlords of Draenor was going to be the next expansion and that it would take place on a whole Draenor, I wasn't sure what to think of it. I realised it was going to be the past, but I thought it would be this very Draenor that became Outland. That whole line is confusing as hell, and probably for that reason you are now trying to see its reflection in this content that you are currently playing =) There's none of that for now.
There will be drawbacks to the past, like Grom's son being miserable knowing that his dad led lots of orcs to drinking the green stuff and them all becoming green corrupted orcs. This is a massively important questline, and you just played through the very start of it when you discovered that fel orc slain by that traditional orcish axe ;)

I have tried very hard to try and not relate any of the TBC stuff to the little bit I know about WOD, and some things I think I know about Illidan. It’s very hard to separate them though. BUT, it’s very interesting to play through it all knowing how the one decision can change the entire landscape.

Really enjoying this series. I think all modern wow players have thought have doing this at some point but never actually been brave/stupid enough to do it.

I’ve been wanting to do it since I started playing a couple years ago so bad. Really glad you’re enjoying it!!
