Thank you for making and posting the POD GO videos. Just got one and frankly its a bit overwhelming. Using it for worship into DI box into main board to house speakers. Your videos are very helpful.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad they're helpful, that's what drives the channel. I hope you watched the complete guide, it'll take you through setup to tweaking your first tone! ruclips.net/video/REWE6X5iSWk/видео.html
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I'm in the same situation! I just bought a POD GO in April 2024 for use in live worship. I don't really understand yet the difference between banks, snapshots, and presets - but I'm going through your videos and will get there eventually.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I've run analog boards for so long - switching to digital has really changed it up for me. Just learning the ropes and getting it all setup and programmed.
Can u please do an update on this settings! Love the simplicity of the snapshots here and that u don't lose the trails of sounds... Please updated video
Great video!!! My pod go is on its way. I am a Pastor and worship leader looking for something more useable in church and at home, this seems to fit with what I can afford and the sounds I desire.
Thank you for the kind words! I believe I used the Moises app to remove the guitar and vocal layers of a Sunday stream from somewhere. Sometimes I use my church's stream, other times I use Bethel's live streams.
Hello, Brother Justin! I absolutely love your free tones for my Pod Go!!! They are amazingly simple to use for relatively beginners like me who need to focus on playing the right Chords and have no free brain available for stepping through pedalsounds during the service. Specially i like the Volume differences between the Snapshots which i find very realistic programmed to just play with the Band. Something i always missed in other priced professional Patches, where sometimes the Guitar just drowns in Bridges or chorusses (everybody plays louder and more energetic exept the one and only electric guitar...) THANK you and may GOD bless you and your loved ones beyond every wishing and understanding!
Hi there! Thank you so much for the kind words, they mean a lot to me! What an honor to serve the guitar community, I'm glad you found the free tone usable! Yes, the volume difference is intentional, I got that from watching Pete Thorn explain how to properly gain stage a guitar. If you want to be technical about it (for when you have the time to tweak), I always get my clean/drive/lead tones to be within the volume of -12, -9 and -6dB. 3dB increments seem to be just right when playing with a band. Here's to hours of fun tweaking!
Hey Justin. I've been running my pod go direct to the soundboard. We run two electrics but the other electric players pedal (helix) seems to be much more clear in the mix. Is the global settings section going to help balance the "volume" level between the two guitars?
Sorry this is late, my app didn’t post my reply! There could be many factors at play. What guitar are you using? Single coils and P90’s cut through the mix better than humbuckers. How are your Helix and POD Go EQ-ed, both on your devices and on the FOH board? Is his guitar cutting more because he has mids being boosted? Is your amp block or EQ cutting out mids? Are you running the overdrive blocks on too much gain? Perhaps going down the line from the signal source (guitar, POD Go, board) will identify any issues that could be contributing to lack of clarity.
First of all, your intro jam is awesome! I also downloaded some of the tones and love them! Random question, would you happen to have recordings like this intro jam? I do video content for a Christian summer camp and this type of music would be perfect for it. If that's a possibility, I'd love to chat more. Either way, I'll be trying out more of these sounds for myself :)
Hi Jonathan, thank you for the kind words! Sure, let's chat more over IG DM, or over the email on my About channel homepage (bio.link/justinc). My jams are admittedly quite noodly and without a solid structure. Might I suggest the music I've released over Spotify? Please feel free to check them out!
I'm old, but new to PodGo. Bit intimidated by all it can do, currently just choose one preloaded sound and roll with it for entire service. The PodGo - can I mess it up fooling with it to learn?
Congrats on getting it! The presets are organised into folders, one of which being Factory, as the other being User. In the User folder, you can mess around in any of the New Presets (they’re blank) which are perfect for exploring sounds. There’s no worry of bricking it!
I like my pod go, but the gear itch to do dual amps/cabs etc. has me wanting an HX stomp - do you notice the audio / tones to be a little more hi-fi with the stomp or exactly the same?
I think they’re essentially the same, save for the tolerances in input impedance and internal electronics. In fact I’m grabbing the POD Go more than the Stomp for live work more and more due to it being an all-in-one package.
Hi! If your PA can accept an unbalanced signal (like plugging a 1/4" TS cable as you indicated directly from the POD Go to the mixer), sure! The POD Go does have balanced outputs, so you could use a TRS cable too. My preference is to use a DI box in case the PA is sending phantom power.
hi bro justine,,,i bought the free patches twice but the problem it's not giving me the exact tone like what you have,,i also followed the instruction settings,,please help me because like your tone that you use for live worship,,,thanks
Hi Antonio, thanks for downloading my Free Pack! May I ask what's the issue with your overall tone? (Too much highs, too muddy low end, for eg.) It will depend on your guitar, whether you're using the wireless or non-wireless unit, and even the cable you're using.
For me it's shorthand for music arranged for the Sunday service, which can encompass many sub-genres of music. But I do think there's a sound to modern worship music, especially since delay and reverb are ubiquitous parts of the tone.
Hi Wes! Sorry I've replied late, my newborns have truly turned my life upside down, it's quite hard to schedule things. I'd be happy to help, although I'm not sure if my new schedule for the immediate future can allow for this. Is there anything immediate I can help with over comments here?

Every Sunday! That’s some serious dedication! I hope you get some opportunity to rest every now and then. I had that kind of ministry life for a while (guitar one week, drums the next) and I was on the verge of burn-out.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar Yes, on this period we play only four or five songs every week, so is not to heavy, specially because we try to play between the traditional songs (hymn) and worship songs. This is why I'm interested to have acoustic preset, specially to have a fresh sounds playing traditional hymns. Thanks
Great info again Justin! I have a question when using Pod Go live thru FOH. Do I need to bypass my mixer EQ or should I eq on FOH mixer? Struggling every week to get the correct sound, sounds either like acoustic guitar or very shrilly.
You’re most welcome! If you’re sounding good at home but finding it shrill or acoustic-like in the FOH, it’s likely your mixer is employing some very drastic EQ. I’d start a conversation with the sound crew and ask what’s their EQ profile like, and why they EQ it that way. From this approach, I would recommend turning your EQ off so the sound crew can tweak it to the venue. I’ve had to do that because my crew are quite insistent on tweaking from the board. It does sound like your crew is mixing a very large band, if your tone sounds thin/shrill. It may be that this is the only way your guitar fits into the mix, so get that conversation going! You never know what gems of wisdom you guys can exchange.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar Thanks a million! I forgot to mention that I am the sound guy as well 😅. Currently i have bypassed the EQ on my mixing desk and last Sunday it kinda sounded like an electric guitar. Thanks for the tips anyway. Waiting for your videos on modelling processors going to FOH.
I see! That's a rarity and a blessing to be the sound guy and the musician! I always find it hard to communicate with sound crews who aren't musicians. What's the EQ like on your desk? It also sounds like your speakers have a particular tone to them. Do the speakers make everything sound thinner? And I'm so behind on my video ideas in the pipeline! Thanks for the video suggestion, I'll probably have to think how best to focus content on modellers and FOH!
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar Currently the EQ is set flat and HPF set to 150Hz. FOH speakers are QSC K12.2. They have been set to Live EQ preset found in the speakers. Not a big church hence we do not use subs. The idea is based on my personal experience of trying to get good sound from modellers but don't really seem to find any videos related to that. Thanks again!
Hi! You’ll have to use DI boxes to go direct to front of house, so get two of them, or a stereo DI box. Pinstripe Pedals makes a really good stereo line driver (also a DI box) which is designed for the HX Stomp but I’m sure it can be used with the POD Go too.
