When I clicked on the video I assumed it would be her lip-syncing to the song like on most 80s "live" performances. When she she sang "I feel the night explo-oad" I realised she was singing live and knew I was in for a treat. I love her voice, it's so rich and satisfying.

I was blown away! The energy level was off-the-charts...and it will always be remembered as one of the best performances I've ever seen.

I was in high school, and metal ruled those days. If anyone form L.A. can relate, please comment. I was a Heavy Metaller! My main theme during the late 80's was just rock, primarily metal. But in side I loved pop, I loved Taylor Dayne's music, one of my high school friends caught me putting in a casette tape of "Tell it to My Heart" into my walkman. He put me on blast in during one of our classrooms. Like trying to bullie me down for listening to that kidn of music, this was 1988 Hunting Park High School. I got support form the entire class, he later said I was a fake Heavy Metaller, well we had a falling out because of that. I knew my gut was right. Music no matter what form, has some relation to the other. I love that album and love Taylor Dayne, 35 years later and my kids are loving it. My daughter actually went 80's style hair and got curls just like Taylor from that era. Music evolves, I knew in my heart even back then, there was something special of her music and especially music of my era growing up in the late 80's. I am glad I did not box my self to only one genre class of music. Music is joy and even today in 2023 it continues to give off those never ending residuals.
