Today we're checking out Raw Seafood Street on Jeju Island, located minutes away from the airport! Enjoy sea breezes and people-watch by the jetty as boats float by. Some restaurants serve breakfast, however it gets more lively for dinnertime. That's when the tables and chairs are set up outside and storefronts glow with their signage.
It can be a challenge to dine alone in Korea when you want to eat seafood and BBQ. The pricing and portion are typically set for two people or more. In this video I asked for a solo diner deal, hoping for variety of food at a lower price. Still pricey, but my mission is to film and show you guys what to do in Jeju Island. I'm not a huge fan of seafood (unless it is fish), however it's good to try different foods while traveling. Keep an open mind :)

죽 (jeuk) is something my mom would make me when I got a cold/fever as a little kid.
It's very easy to digest and it's warming so it really helps.
Often my mom would mix in a tiny bit of salt, sesame oil, and some shrimps.
Personally I don't eat raw fish (sushi, sashimi, etc). Just a preference.
I don't like seafood that much either, but most cooked fish dishes I'm okay with.

Mina i have a question. Is it common in korean restaurants to take your leftovers home? I never could have finished that meal and it makes me so sad to just waste it, so i like to take the food home. But i am afraid they don't really like that..

Great question..
Many restaurants in Korea don't offer disposable containers to bring leftovers home. The ones that regularly do are food stalls or snack tents. However, these takeaway containers are usually a tied-off plastic bag. If you order delivery or takeaway, most restaurants will drop-off dishware with the expectation of picking it up later.

Rice pourage.. hmmmm.. in philippines we call it LUGAW.. sometimes w/ cooked shreded chicken but it's different when you tasted GOTO and it is a rice pourage w/ different types of toppings
