  • In this tutorial I show you how to do a sphere wrap, called the Iron eye. This one is a design by Vincenzo Bellante.
This technique is a nice substitute for the monkey's fist knot, the turk's head knot and the globe knot.
This wrap will work great for making get back whips and self defense lanyards.

Wonderful! I want to make a get back whip with this but haven’t been able to come up with a strong transition from the rings to “whip” part. Any suggestions?

You could possibly try different variations on the weave the lashes the two rings together? EG maybe a herringbone or other pattern rather than just the simple cross pattern.

Do you have measurements at hand to incorporate this into a full length get back whip? I was planning on using this as my utter failure at the pineapple knot get back whip is depressing. Not giving up but want to, at least try one with this technique for the ball wrap first.

For a golf ball would you need Micro cord?
