I got this knot figured out. But it took me 100 times watching this. What you should do for future videos is mark a sharpie on the standing line like dots so we know which is the standing line for reference.
When your hand goes across the camera sometimes it’s hard to track what strand is which when you roll the stick out of view. A marked standing line would help us trace our lines to your easier

Very easy to follow. With all the turksheads I've tied, I haven't done this one. Thanks for the inspiration and the great tutorial s.

First, thanks for another great, clear, simple instructional video. Try using the nylon covered hair ties, instead of rubber bands. They don't degrade as quickly, are cheap, and won't stick to your work or mandrel if the rubber does give up.

I think that the end should go through the middle of the knot which would make it a foot rope knot .this can also be made where the knot forms as a diamond knot where the end Finnish on the outside of the knot.

I simply use a thin plastic cutting mat, rolled up and held at both ends with rubber bands. You will have a “lip” to work past, but it will slowly subside. Or you can heat up one end and curl it to get rid of the lip.

Roger! The thing with diamond knot is that in general, they can be done with pretty much any strand number. So they are tied the same way with 3, 4 or more strands. Is there any particular diamond knot you would like featured?

I am really frustrated with the tutorial.. The "going parallel" parts leave a loop that isnt attached or held by anything and the video COMPLETLY ignores to mentioned or adress this... i had to start this 5-6 times over till i understood this and even then had to give up..
(i mean 3:10 and guessing another loop at 3:31 ...??)
This isnt really a tutorial imo as it REALLY misses the crucial aspects that make this knot so hard
