I did this cruise in August. We went to the Cathedral, the street of umbrellas, the souvenir store, where we got our shot of Momma Juana and then to the beach for awhile. We did the same thing that you did, we went outside to the tour guides outside of the gate. I want to start cruising by myself though. Looks like you had a great time

Amber Cove is a great port if you don't want to leave the port as well. I went to this port last year.
I've heard they have a pretty awesome port. I plan to check it out next time.

Looks like you had a great time. How far in advance do you book your cruises?
This one was an inaugural so I booked 8 months in advance. I usually book maybe a month or two in advance. It depends on what deals are available.
I am currently pregnant and was wondering is this was an extreme amount of walking?
Congratulations on the bundle of joy and yes! It was extreme and long. I'd see if there was maybe a 2-3 hour tour vs. this one which was 5 hours.
