  • Lecture by Chilean architect Max Nuñez, founder of the architectural office Max Núñez Arquitectos based in Santiago. He is the winner of the Architectural Record's Design Vanguard Award in 2017 and the Wallpaper Magazine's Design Award in 2013, 2018 and 2000. Nuñez was one of the speakers at the 22. edition of the Festival Days of Oris.
    Max Núñez graduated as Architect from Universidad Católica de Chile in 2004 and obtained a MSc in Advanced Architectural design at Columbia University in 2010. Since 2011 he directs Max Núñez Arquitectos, architecture firm based in Santiago, developing different types of public and private projects in diverse parts of Chile and abroad.
    His work has been recognized with the Design Vanguard Award 2017 from Architectural Record and the Design Award in 2013, 2018 and 2020 from Wallpaper Magazine. He has won various public competitions, including the design for the Atacama Regional Museum (Copiapó, 2012) and the design for the Los Rios Regional Library and Archive (Valdivia, 2021).
    His projects have been published in various international media, including: A+U (Japan), GA (Japan), C3 (Korea), Mark (Holland), Wallpaper (England), Architectural Record (USA), PLOT (Argentina), 2G (Spain), Baumeister (Germany), Interni (Italy), and his work has been presented in two monographic publications: “Max Núñez Arquitectos, Pista de Despegue”, by Editorial Constructo, Chile, 2015, and “Max Núñez Arquitectos, Collection of Ideas”, by Editorial ARQ, Chile, 2018.

    Fantastic architect and he and his team's wonderful work. There are some superb examples of alternative thinking in these projects and new design elements, yet always considering how they each blend in with their natural surroundings. ¡Bravo!
