I’m have been dreaming of opening a coffee truck business and this is the very first non bias, beautifully balanced pros and cons blueprint for me. Starting with little money is very intimidating but I am very interested in following for the help! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this information!
Lol. I don't know who you are. Look I know you have control over all my info on my phone. You are tracking all my movements, my privacy my health everything. I do not care what you do. Just respect me because you do not know when this cat is going to scratch your beautiful eyes.
@@NenaSmith-j1t who are you talking to? My comment was two years ago and I don’t even know who you are but I just reported your comment that doesn’t even make sense.
Great video man, I’ve been thinking about a coffee business for a long time. You’ve given me a lot of ideas and helped me avoid some planning errors I already had from your experience. I hope to reach back out to you someday with a story of a successful business. Thank you!
I actually have a food trailer. I like how you are talking about how to do it with little to no money which does give me some additional ideas on setting up more stations around town but what I need to know is how to get my actual food trailer re approved as a drink trailer. It has been sitting in storage for years. I have to resubmit all the paperwork but want to do drinks first to have less issues getting it approved. I don't see any videos talking about this part.
It all depends on your county/city health department regulations. In many cases, they will permit the food vendor based on the inherent risk to the public...coffee is a moderate risk because of the milk involved. In other cases, health departments don't care. If you a food vendor or beverage vendor they want the same process. Ultimately, its up to the inspector...best thing to do? Call your inspector and ask.
Your channel is so helpful!! I am starting a bakery business and eventually add some coffee drinks! I don’t have money or a car, but I believe it’s still very possible because my dad is very supportive and he said he would loan me some money. The finances part is what scares me.. taxes, and all this 😅 do you have a video explaining how to keep track of expenses and pricing? Also do you set aside certain money for taxes automatically and how much do you set aside 😅
Hey Peachy! We have all of that covered in my Master Class. You should check it out! There’s still some spots available! www.greenjoecoffeeschool.com/coffee-truck
Let's stop for a second, most of the world don't have the stupid US credit score system, and if we had, it wouldn't last a week, outside the US, it's people power, not bank power, that said, you start a business with the money you have, not the money you can borrow, if you don't have enough, aim lower, or wait, it's difficult to start a business, don't ad difficulties with going into debt, but don't be afraid to try, and fail, just don't dig yourself into debt, you can always try again and again, until you succeed, as long as you don't borrow money, and now, get started on your dream.
Very good video! I would encourage everyone to use local credit unions. Support local communities and know that your patronage is going to good causes instead of polluting giants like Exxon.
Thank you so much for this video...this is extremely helpful! I'm nervous, but ready to go for it! Where can I get your latte recipes? Also, what is the best way to find the right coffee for my cart? Try different coffee shops? (not the big one, like Starbucks) Mom & Pop cafe's, etc.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. What are were you using as the gray water reservoir? Did you have a electric water heater, or did you focus only on cold brew? I plan on doing everything similar for the table Setup, but I plan to add a used espresso and a water heater. Going to try and find a plumbing kit for the espresso and water heater too.
Thanks for all this info Vince! When you first started going to farmers market or in the truck did you operate as a solo operator? Could you make a video about operating a coffee truck as a solo operator? Thanks!
Hey Denise, I was solo for about a month and then I had to hire. I can definitely do a solo video but I have a few others in front of it. In my mobile barista book I talk about workflow.
Thank you so much for the informative video! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend for the remodel of the coffee truck or what's an idea of what someone would be looking at?
Vince, this video just sent me over the edge into doing what I have always wanted to do. I have enough money to build out a trailer and go that route, but it's always risky especially in these times. I'm going to start with the farmers markets and see the response to what I am wanting to do. Hopefully, I go up from there. I would love to pick your brain a little about this business. Appreciate all the information you have put out and the insight into the coffee truck business.
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
This is a sensible approach to start a business. Any ideas on how to deal with not having a place where to store the cart when not in use? I live in an apartment complex.
If you do not have any friends or family that could store it, you may have to look into a storage facility. Double check with your local health department though to see if they have any rules/regulations regarding where you store it
This is my dream to open up one, so I just got blessed and someone gave me a trailer but I need to fix it up as a coffee shop trailer so I am trying to budget that and then trying to find my spot license. Is there any chance you'll put a video out that's more in depth about the 1st step-the coffee table for farmer's market? I've had such a hard time researching. Did you brew your cold brew at home? And mix your lattes at home? I've seen that some products have to be made in a commercial kitchen even to be sold at a farmer's market. Did you already have a set up to roast and grind your own beans or would you recommend outsourcing beans in the beginning? Because that's more equipment costs. Did you start with just cold drinks, because the recipe on your website mentions steaming the cold brew. Wht would you recommend to just steam it?
