Well I can give you a head start and tell you not to use dewalt dust extractor, it can't handle grinding concrete, bags or fitting always explode inside machine and then you have to spend 15 minutes blowing it out with an air compressor, I use makita but have also been looking at festool with the cyclone bin

Looks like you're still relatively new to surface grinding, move to arrow segment wheels, they get it done faster, mist your concrete with water bottle to keep teeth and diamonds exposed, you can play with grits and bonds of segments too as time goes on, the less surface area on your segments means you are removing faster, turbo wheels have a lot of surface area so yeah, good for smoothing but not the best when you need to dig

@@jonathancowdin3775thanks for your input! I’m not new to this trade like you suppose. I use the turbo cup wheel because most of my grinding is done on concrete and I find that the makita cup wheel is best for fast removal. However I’ll check out the arrow segment cup wheel! Also, I don’t like switching between cups that much because it ain’t easy to remove them, so I just stick with one usually.
And I think you’re right. I heard some bad things about Dewalt dust extractors. Would love to try out the makita one!

You should be using a wood planer works a lot better and it made for wood. Who uses a concrete grinder on any kind of a wood subfloor duhhhh
