    The ending is most definitely Kanye rising up closer to his mother. The beam of light goes up out of the stadium and projects up into the heavens where Donda is. 3:45 Just adding that the bed has a stark resemblance to Tracey Emin's "My Bed" from 1999, like there is no way he wasn't inspired by that because the concept is almost exactly the same. Tracey's bed was a recreation of a depressive grieving phase in her life when she had remained in bed for four days without eating or drinking anything but alcohol.

    I too immediately thought of the Margiela fitting rooms when I saw the 24 hour stream. One idea I had about the whole performance though, that ties into the discussion ya'll were having about masks. The almost paradoxical idea in Christianity that God cares about everyone on a personal level. I guess you could sum it up like "You're special, just like everyone else". I think that has a strong parallel to putting a Margiela mask on a high profile individual, like you mentioned earlier about simultaneous ego and anti-ego. I think this is reinforced by the final track being called "No Child Left Behind". In the equalizing state of being a child of God Ye truly is just another person, but doesn't lose any uniqueness in being so. This could also be reinforced by the fact that there is an absurd amount of features on what is believed to be a very personal album.

Looking at the success of this album and the performance art he’s created as part of the whole Donda project seriously shows how effective it is for him- he’s Kanye, he likes to talk and be heard. Forcing himself to solely communicate his ideas through his work as an artist is just some real genius shit

    My interpretation/theory that the room was symbolic of the tomb Jesus was put in after he was crucified and then later ascended to heaven. Him being completely alone and exposed at the first show to him being surrounded at this one seems significant in some way if it was planned out. Loved the video though I wouldn’t have caught all of those references :)

    There’s something beautiful about the interlude where the word “donda” is incessantly repeated. in my perspective, it seems like when you say a word a million times, it begins to lose its meaning. With the Word “Donda” it was originally Kanye’s mother’s name, however with the constant talk of the album and the countless hours of work that Kanye is putting into the project, the word may be losing its meaning as the name of his mother as he continues to work on the project and as people continue to keep talking about it

But his song Only One (Kanye in Swahili means Only One) Is kanye's reconciliation with his mom's death, and his identity. He finally accepts who he his through his mother(That is, his mother named him Kanye, and the Only One is sung in the perspective of Kanye's mother, even though its sung by Kanye. Kinda confusing). I am probably the most fashion illiterate person in this comment section. lol
    Can someone please explain what is sooo appealing about that big ass goofy looking jacket??
    🧐🤨🤔

  • @brunokawelke
    @brunokawelke 3 года назад +7

    The "blanket jacket" could also be a reference to the piece by Joseph Beuys "I like America and America likes me" that Kanye referenced earlier in his work. In the performance art piece Beuys wears a huge blanket while living with a coyote in small room.

    Seems like a ritual to me for y'all start worshiping this man y'all need to find out the meaning of what he's doing stop thinking it's just entertainment it's deeper than that I'm just saying

    is it too obvious, or like low-hanging fruit, to look at the all black as funeral/grieving garb? the album IS called "donda"...?

    the location reminds me of barney's cremaster cycle and so does the fake sky but myb I'm biased because I checked out kanyes twitter and among the last posts there was a book by/on barney. Enjoyed the video so much, thank u!

    Also I noticed one of the songs on the track list is called psalm 4:5 which says
    4 “Tremble and[d] do not sin;(J)
    when you are on your beds,(K)
    search your hearts and be silent.
    5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
    and trust in the Lord.(L)”
    which is another reason why he had his bed there

    Pretty scary that no one is mentioning anything about how creepy this is and really starting to add up to me that he is and may possibly be the false prophet. Look deeper

    He did exactly what the masons told him to. Literally that looked like a kind of sacrifice to some evil spirit. Especially with the cross inside the pentagon.

    • @209Chuy
      @209Chuy 3 года назад

      Just because its in a specific shape doesn't mean its that dummy you clearly know nothing about spirits and how they work sacrificing isn't that easy my boy you need alot of things around you and alot of crazy sounding chanting

      half the album is about god, literally the opposite of any devil shit. churches are often gothic, doesn’t mean they’re evil.

      Dang, people nowadays can’t be creative in a way that resembles de “occult” and it’s suddenly all linked to masons and cults and satan 😐

    • @Eternalmastersclips
      @Eternalmastersclips 3 года назад

      @@0rchxd so many thousands and millions of creative ideas.. Why people keep and keep mentioning and replicating Jesus Christ and Christianity on their music video over and over again. Are they really trying to be creative. They suppose to be the greatest artists of our age and still we see the same mocking all over the world. That isn't creativity.
