Chris Cornell also uses Gretsch style pickups. As you know, he even has 2 semi-hollow signature Gibson ES-335s with filtertones. I've always wondered how such low-output pickups could handle so much Soundgarden’ish gain and distortion. But I guess it's not always about the numbers.
Instant ACDC vibes for sure. The high gain stuff was glorious. I find FT's to be like Alnico II HBs but with a mid/high shelf which works nicely for clarity.
Hey Jamie.. do you have any experience with Seymour Duncan pickups vs DiMarzio. I'm debating my next upgrade on a partscaster.. I guess they're both high grade, but I'm looking for a deciding vote
Heya, I have a strange request!! Can you please play this Jazz/Sax song but shred it on Guitar??!! Please play the Sax part of this song but with a Metal/Shred distortion on guitar. Please record it and share. This band is Dead, all members have passed. From a fellow bald Red-Head: ruclips.net/video/ki5BcLMty6c/видео.html Thanks in advance, should be freaking EPIC!!

I've been thinking about a new bridge pickup
I think the filtertrons were patented first if I'm not mistaken, not the PAFs
Sounds great! 🤘
They sound amazing!! also makes the guitar look great!
Great videos. I put a peavey t60 mic on the neck and a suhr doug aldrich in the bridge of my donner jazz.
Was pleasantly surprised!
5:12 - all crunch, no mud!
Im willing to bet these will sound fantastic in a full mix.
I NEED THESE!!
I prefer the humbucker sound, but the filertones sound cool too!
Hey Jamie, what's the riff you play starting 6:06? Sounds awesome!
Could you please tell me the string gauge you're using for this one? Or your go to string gauge? All the best.
This guitar has 10-46. On a strat style guitar like my A2 I use 9-46 😊👍
Odd off topic question - but what necklace is that?
There are several models of filtertron style pickups that DiMarzio launched. Which ones are you doing a demo of here?
He said at the beginning these are the New'trons.

Both are great. I’m partial to DiMarzios of course but both are great high quality pickups!
@@jamierobinson777 that's no help whatsoever lol.. i'm kidding, thanks for the reply, rock on bud
August Pullman
To be honest, they both sound crappy to me. I'm not sure the pickups are responsible and I'm confident it's not the player.
You should probably stick to the harp 😄
Listening on studio monitors. Can't say I hear much of a difference. But they both sound great
