Only now people call it good because they don't remember how bad it was. This coming from a person who pre ordeded it and played it for around 200 hours, 3 characters and did pvp extensively. so you got stuck in the first area of the game and think you beat half of it? you get to the sentinels pretty quickly. I did so on the day of release and so did everybody else

That makes me happy that you can fight Ornstein in this game again by him self. He was so hard in the first game because of Smough but now that it's just him you have to face it really makes it a fair fight and that's good to know.

But it is intended to be ambiguous, and the speculation is more fun than any actual answer would be.
It's controversial for some people but I actually really like the "dudes in armor" fights in Dark Souls 2. You feel more like a knight dueling an opponent on a similar skill level rather than a pest exterminator going around killing huge monsters with a tooth pick. And since King Vendrick valued strong warriors above all else it makes sense that there would so many buff boys hanging around waiting to throw down. Some of the move sets are repetitive sometimes but thankfully the bosses are aesthetically different enough and usually have cool little gimmicks to make the fights interesting.
Honestly I have found with dark souls games is that the more human shaped / sized enemies I fight, the more I like them. Dudes in armor are my favorite

Easy way to kill pursuer is to bring him infront of a crossbow launcher and use it. It gives massive damage to his health. It is easy to say but, difficult to do because his sword swing breaks the crossbow launcher. I love dark soul series ❤️

Most bosses videos show that there are like 3 minute cutscenes and qte with like 2 minutes actual fight but the souls dont do that. This is literally 2 hours of only bosses, which is awesome
You're slower in DS2 and have a lot less stamina. The constant dodging and rolling you can use to avoid everything in DS3 isn't really possible in DS2. The average non-dlc DS2 boss certainly is easier though.
I don't think DS3 was more challenging than DS2. In DS3, the only difficult boss is Midir and you had more stamina as you said Grey Squirrel. Plus, the fact that you had to avoid dying too much to prevent the lowering of your max health in DS2 was quite tough

Ah the first time i played dark soul it was wtf , than after hours and hours of you died title , i finiched the game but now it's one of the best games i ever blayed
Christ. I Remember taking out the Pursuer and Last Giant with a +3 Broadsword fairly easily and then getting fucking rammed by every other enemy for a while until I got the Dragonrider
LGK was annoying but didn't take me too many times, But smelter was the worst, the only other boss that was almost as annoying was the pool the old iron king sometimes hits you into.

@@setsunaes Royal Rat Authority was frustrating, if you get poisoned at the start it's game over and Ruin Sentinels are a nightmare early on.The only bosses i didn't fight were Lud and Zallen, Ancient Dragon and Vendrick.Dragon seemes like a cool guy so i didn't want to attack him, Vendrick fight would not start for some reason and Lud and Zallen was tedious because getting to that fight was an agony.Those demon unicorns are relentless and they just keep respawning no matter how many of them you kill.
I love how first time players aren't going to know why the Last Giant has such a volatile and sudden reaction to our character. It's because our character is the cause of it's imprisonment, because it was previously known as the Giant Lord.

Well, I finally did the DLCs for this game; it was frustrating as all Hell, but the reward for my frustrations, the ability to not go Hollow when wearing the King’s Crown (thanks to Vendrick’s blessings) was worth it! I can confidently say that the DLCs aren’t as bad as I thought they were; I just wasn’t playing patiently & taking things slow. But after a long-ass time & learning to be patient, I Goddamn did it!
Well, the idea is that DS1 Ornstein's soul says it was gifted to him by Gwyn, personally. But, for Ornstein to have received it means he must have been alive, which means he already had a soul at that point. This leaves Ornstein with 2 souls. It's been confirmed that Ornstein abandons Smough and leaves his post in Anor Londo to go and find Gwyn's firstborn, the nameless king, who you fight in DS3. The game confirms it yet again, as you find Ornstein's armor unattended. This means that when Ornstein left, he may have left Gwyndolin his 2nd soul, the one gifted to him by Gwyn, to create the illusion of Ornstein you fight alongside Smough in Anor Londo, since the real Ornstein had already left. DS2 makes all the canon tricky, but it's possible that after the nameless king died Ornstein abandoned the path of the dragon and, with nowhere left to go, tried to find Artorias. This would lead him into the past and the abyss, which he then would have failed to defeat just as Artorias did. He would then age naturally until DS2, where we find him old, clad in lesser armor, and full of abyssal magic.

Quantity over quality. 95% of the bosses were forgettable. Easiest series in terms of combat alongside DeS, DS1. DS1 had more quality and memorable bosses than DS2. Relied on mob ganks and broken hitboxes to be "Hard" instead of demanding players skills and reflexes like BB, ER, DS3, Sekiro, AC6.

The bosses in the Dark Souls series really shine in DS3. When you look back at all these old bosses, I can't even compare to DS3.
A couple of them are just as good I think at least. Allone, Fume Knight, Ivory King, and Sihn are all pretty badass.

@@setsunaes Royal Rat Authority was frustrating, if you get poisoned at the start it's game over and Ruin Sentinels are a nightmare early on.The only bosses i didn't fight were Lud and Zallen, Ancient Dragon and Vendrick.Dragon seemes like a cool guy so i didn't want to attack him, Vendrick fight would not start for some reason and Lud and Zallen was tedious because getting to that fight was an agony.Those demon unicorns are relentless and they just keep respawning no matter how many of them you kill.

Well, I finally did the DLCs for this game; it was frustrating as all Hell, but the reward for my frustrations, the ability to not go Hollow when wearing the King’s Crown (thanks to Vendrick’s blessings) was worth it! I can confidently say that the DLCs aren’t as bad as I thought they were; I just wasn’t playing patiently & taking things slow. But after a long-ass time & learning to be patient, I Goddamn did it!

Well, the idea is that DS1 Ornstein's soul says it was gifted to him by Gwyn, personally. But, for Ornstein to have received it means he must have been alive, which means he already had a soul at that point. This leaves Ornstein with 2 souls. It's been confirmed that Ornstein abandons Smough and leaves his post in Anor Londo to go and find Gwyn's firstborn, the nameless king, who you fight in DS3. The game confirms it yet again, as you find Ornstein's armor unattended. This means that when Ornstein left, he may have left Gwyndolin his 2nd soul, the one gifted to him by Gwyn, to create the illusion of Ornstein you fight alongside Smough in Anor Londo, since the real Ornstein had already left.
DS2 makes all the canon tricky, but it's possible that after the nameless king died Ornstein abandoned the path of the dragon and, with nowhere left to go, tried to find Artorias. This would lead him into the past and the abyss, which he then would have failed to defeat just as Artorias did. He would then age naturally until DS2, where we find him old, clad in lesser armor, and full of abyssal magic.

Quantity over quality. 95% of the bosses were forgettable.
Easiest series in terms of combat alongside DeS, DS1. DS1 had more quality and memorable bosses than DS2.
Relied on mob ganks and broken hitboxes to be "Hard" instead of demanding players skills and reflexes like BB, ER, DS3, Sekiro, AC6.
