A full day of Friday homemaking for me. When I opened RUclips for my lunch break I said, “Yay! A new video from Lauren!” :) Thanks so much for sharing your day with us. Even though I am a couple decades older than you, your energy and creativity always inspire me in my homemaking. I LOVED the basketballs in the big silver urn in your living room. So cute and functional! We’ve had weeks of triple digits here in TX and I am OVER IT. I can’t wait for fall, which, temperature-wise doesn’t actually arrive here until early November. 😅 I do patriotic decor for the summer (late May-late July) and last year I started doing a late summer decor theme that would easily transition into fall. It never feels right putting out pumpkins and fall leaves when we still have a month of very hot weather, so this was a nice compromise. I would love to see your spin on late summer/early fall decor. Just an idea. Thanks again for all of your great content.
Same girl same! I’m in North Texas and can not wait for Fall. It’s too hot to garden. Everything is fried! My summer decor is Patriotic until late August. It’s still hot then so I don’t decorate for Fall until late September. Still don’t want to look at pumpkins then either. Here in pa we finally got some much needed rain that came in the form of buckets last eve! Been consistent in the 80s kids and I are off to NC to visit my mama in the next two weeks, so looking forward to that.. the east coast waters are in the high 80s which will be nice!

I'm up here in Michigan and its never the same weather wise.. from one day to the next ya just don't know what will happen around here! We even had an extra unexpected rain storm come through last night! Our weather this summer has been off. June we saw temps in the 90s and no rain at all. Then July comes and it cooled down and we had a LOT of rain for the 1st 2 weeks, now its spotty and short bouts of rain. But..hang on, bc this week its supposed to heat back up again into the mid 90s! With a couple days of hopeful rain! Our normal summer temps are May is cool until the last week, then it'll hit mid 80s! Then, we have a slight cool down for a week into the 70s. Then June stocks between upper 70s to mid 80s.. with rain every few to several days, good soaking rain! July.. its just plain hot n dry. Right up until August... then August, which used to be our hottest month, July has over the past 6 or 7 years become the hottest month now.. August goes back into the mid 80s to low 80s with tons of rain.. it used to be that September was our monsoon month, but now August seems to have replaced that. September has seemed to soften a bit now, it was hot, humid and rain filled for 3 weeks, then the last week of September it would begin a permanent dip into the 70s and even 60s. Now, it seems to drop into the low 80s to 70s a lot faster... then if we are not carefully watching the 1st week of October can be hit with frost. Its happened 3 years in a row. Then BAM! Back into the 70s for a couple to few weeks. Then the temps go crazy going from 70s one day to 40s the next, back into actual 80s and then drop down again. October used to be a steady slow drop in temps until November when the frost would 1st hit. That was from my childhood back in the 70s through the mid 90s. One year ant 4 or 5 years ago we had an 80 degree day on Thanksgiving! The next day... it snowed! An actual temp drop of over 50 degrees in 24 hours! Never saw that before! This has been a strange July with all of the extra rain and weird mood swings of the weather throughout the country, I'm almost expecting hurricanes to show up early. And in weird places!

I’ve been recovering from a complete shoulder replacement this summer so yes…it’s been a long summer and it’s only the middle of July…SO I am looking forward to Fall here in Iowa. It’s the best 🍁🎃
It’s funny I’m finding that superficial things don’t heal the inner persons I’m learning that so I don’t drive myself crazy cleaning too much but I do still clean regularly ❤
I live in Northern California as well, and I’m also worried that summer will be going into fall. Last year summer lasted from April-October. I did decorated for fall when my kids went back to school to help make it feel cooler and get into fall spirit. Can’t wait to decorate for fall. I’ve been watching your old fall videos. Why not use the drip system I see in your garden? Ours are on timers then you don’t have to worry about having someone to water for you when your away or even if your not. Then plants get consistent water

Okay the only reason I’m looking forward to fall is to watch your videos other than that we love summer and everything about it fireworks and the beach and especially the food ❤ and my kids will have plenty of time for chores after I’m gone so enjoy take your time I get it and yes chewy my pup is 15 and we just make sure he is safe and comfortable he is blind and deaf and he is our little angel ❤❤love you guys
I'm not sure if you've heard about a book that's called "fast like a girl." It's really good. I lost weight and stopped bloating when I realized I should have been fasting for my hormones. I'm in my late 40s. It talks about how keto all the time and OMAD fasting can actually put weight on women because we need healthy carbs The last week before our period. I encourage you to check it out. It was a game changer for me. The weight melted off of me and my gut issues corrected.
Fall? We have summer vacation whole July and August, september is back to school month, so I think/hope for 2 more months of summer! And then we can transicion into fall 😁
