I get what you mean about an American voice. Def has kind of an LA vibe. I think Dorothy was born in Romania, though. This is a fair representation, although I prefer the unplugged version that came out last week. There is some variety in her catalog but it's all good. Her last album 28 Days in the Valley was an exploration of different sounds from the 70's. Not as heavy as this but still has that signature voice. Personally I loved it, but am happy with this heavier direction. Saw her live in 2019. Great show.
Agree, Didy, great vocals, for me Dorothy has a perfect voice for rock music. It`s so refreshing listening to plain and old fashioned rock music once in a while. I would like to suggest one new singer for you, if you have time one day. She is quite young, but has a very captivating personality. Her voice is amazing, and I think you will love this video, and her as well. Her name is Novia Bachmid, is Indonesian (as am I), and 19 years old. She has rapidly become one of the current and future voices to be reckoned with from Indonesia.
