Thank you 🙏 If you like the matte screen, then I’d grab the JSAUX matte screen protector, but if you want to get the glossy look the one from my video will do the job 👍

Thank you for the well paced and practical demonstration. I never remember, but apparently, installing a screen protector in a slightly steamy bathroom helps to keep the dust down.
I am awaiting the delivery of an OLED 512. I have purchased the Anti Glare version of this protector. I know this may reduce the lush rendition of colours, but I am hoping the trade off will be a better result in brighter conditions. I didnt go for the etched 1TB version as my steam deck will get more sporadic use. In this case, perhaps the 512 offers better value plus the option to go glossy. I cancelled an order for an LED version because its obvious that the OLED screen is better and well, it's psychological isn't it? You don't want that twinge of envy. If I already had an LED version, I would probably wait for the Steam 2, whenever that is due. This will be my first handheld since owning a Sega Game Gear. I'm 57 and my sons James and Charles have more idea about using Steam but I am looking forward tp embarking on an a new adventure. Have you tried the JSAUX case from Amazon? I have ordered one with the dock configuration. The reviews seem positive.

Hi Paul, wow thank you for this kind comment and the £2 that’s really kind of you! The Steam Deck Oled has been fantastic for me and I’ll be working on my full review soon, but in a summary it’s terrific, especially for emulating games and playing older consoles. I think you definitely made the right choice going for the Oled one with the battery being much better and the screen being top notch. I’ve not tried any cases yet but can pick one up to review.

Which one would you recommend for the 512GB OLED with the non etched screen?
I haven’t tried the Matte one yet, but it depends what you value more, vibrant colours and inky blacks with the glossy or a slight sacrifice in colour either the Matte. I’ll try and review the Matte so I can compare

I don’t have the official dock but it definitely still works with my third party one so I would assume so yeah👍

You have to try the matte one .. its better than the clear .. i see the light and ur face clearly 😹 .. so thats why the matte better

Glossy looks better. Matte just cuts reflections while being slightly worst
