Excellent vid - a great lesson 1. Last year I went from a Crosstourer to a CB1000R - two very different bikes. Even though the CB is a faster more powerful bike - I cannot go as fast - as I have zero wind protection... Aerodynamics! The upshot is it protects my driving license - funny how counterintuitive some things are!
i bought my bike today and started riding, and i never imagined how much pressure wind put on my body, even at 40kmh i used to go on bicycle, and bc i'm tucked in, i didnt feel that much pressure on my chest as much as i felt it on motorbike
Very much hoping you'll explain why a motorcycle turns, when it leans.. I already know the part with why the bike leans when the rider countersteers. But why does it turn when it leans ? ?
Thanks Thomas, we have one lesson per day this week and next already recorded and if there's an appetite for more then we'll carry on and include your recommendation. Cheers, Michael
Thank you Prunelles, we have more up our sleeves. Lesson two just went live then three, four and five are coming this week with five more next week. Enjoy!
You're right, you have boiled down aerodynamics and in particular air resistance (drag) and turbulence to a very basic level! I wonder how many bike manufacturers today use a wind tunnel to minimise drag and improve aero where they can? For those that think this is too dumbed down, here's some bed-time reading... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_equation
So wot a boot peaked helmets fashion or function I personally have a better screen fitted (versys650)...all OK ...reason... need peak as well as drop visor for sun ....got issues there... but peaks are very bad aerodynamics. .. generally a nuisance cheers from dave
Cheers for this, things we forget to think about. It reminds you there's so much more to riding.
Thanks Kevin, there's nine more lessons coming this week and next then we'll reassess to see if everyone is keen for more!
Cheers, Michael
when he said "stop picking your nose" i was like, bloody hell is he watching me

Excellent, more please 👍🏻
There's a total of five this week and five next week, so 10 episodes in total. Then we'll see if there's appetite for more!
Thank you. Really easy to learn.👍
Very informative thank you 👍🏾💯
Hello sir from South Africa 🇿🇦. Can I presume that havonh a top box is better than side panniers, for better aerodynamics?
thank you....

Michael, nice riding footwear, may I ask what it is? Thanks!!
