  • This week we’re making a three stone diamond ring 💍 We were asked to remove these diamonds from the old ring because the client wanted a platinum ring where she could have the confidence that the stones were secure and the settings were appropriate for the stones they supported.
    Sometimes we focus more on one particular aspect of the manufacturing and that differs depending on the video. If you didn’t quite find what you were looking for here, feel free to check out these other videos:

      Thanks and you are welcome - yep, we get that request often and are working towards it. We need to invest in dedicated cameras in order to capture the detail better which we will do as the channel grows. For now we have a few videos on our setting methods which can be found on the channel. Thanks for the input 🙏🏻

    I always enjoy your videos and this is a wonderful example of why. The ring is beatifully designed and I really appreciate how you describe your vision of it as you are making it as well as the the processes involved. Thank you.

      Great skill.
      I've noticed in this video, and at least one other, that you use a term to describe a bur. It sounds like, "prase". The transcript indicates, "phrase". Can you clarify for me, and anyone else who might be curious, just what the term is?
      Great content. I want to be like you when I grow up. 😂

      @@dwdidit3664 thanks for the compliment 🙏🏻 yes, we might have mention this issue a few times - I often use words which have different meanings elsewhere in the world. It’s what I’ve got to know the tools as. A good example is a flex shaft motor. In the uk the same tool is called a pendant motor. I might even be using the completely wrong words all together English is a second language for me.

    What’s the advantage of pulling wire through the rolling mill vs just rolling the metal to the desired dimension?

    • @jacothejeweller
      @jacothejeweller  23 дня назад

      I secure the draw plate in the rolling mill for stability and pull the wire through the draw plate to achieve the round profile I am looking for and my desired thickness.

      @bysykler4959 23 дня назад

      Ahh, I see now that the draw plate is in front. I thought you were pulling the wire THROUGH the rolling mill. 😂

    Very nice work!
    Do you use a lazer or a welder for tacking pieces before soldering?
