Oh yes I agree with you isooh... just a small addition.. 1. Remember to use the most suitable sand on plaster. We currently have like 3 common varieties of sand in Kenya i.e river sand (brown), rock sand (grey), and volcanic sand(maimahiu sand- dark grey).. out of the 3, fine river sand is suitable for plastering. 2. ensure your sand has less silt and tell fundi to screen/sieve it to remove coarse granules plus other unwanted debris, wood etc 3. Cure your plastered walls for atleast 3days to utmost 7days in wet areas/season and atleast 7 days to utmost 14 days in dry areas/season . 4. Get experienced fundi who will utilise tools like plumbline,(kabiro), chuma laini, etc during plastering... don't trust fundi anatumia tu wooden float(gurumala) na trowel (kijiko) pekee😅 ..ati ni pro..wee wacha bwana 😅. 5. On plumbing fittings yes insist on doing them before plastering.. and most importantly test the fittings to detect any leakage and fix it before plastering... it's so hectic and expensive to fix a leakage after plastering..hadi huwa inaharibu sura ya ukuta after repairs...many houses experience leakage due to improper joints za plumbing... sometimes pia inaeza kuwa unashangaa mbona tap ya kitchen haitoi maji na pressure ama volume vile inafaa..kumbe during plumbing fundi alimelt joint excess ikareduce diameter ya pipe inaconnect to the tap hence reducing the volume ya maji inaingia kwa tap...saa ingine unaona ga nguo zako zinashika mold yet uliosha vizuri ukaweka kwa wardrobe..if that wardrobe back wall iko na faulty plumbing fitting side ya bafu , it's the main suspect...etc 6. Also do conduit fittings for electrical works and if possible run the wires before kupiga plaster...coz at times unaeza pata plaster iliingia kwa conduits ikakauka ikablock ..that is kama what you used to fill in the sockets and conduit open ends ilitoka time ya plaster ( commonly tunazibanga na wet cartons or gazeti or viraka za mfuko ya simiti😊).. 6. Hapo kwa floor screed i fully agree with you...kama utaweka tiles let the tile fixer do the floor screeding na levels zake..na pia usifanye screeding this year January na unakaaaa hadi December ndio unaleta tiles😂... for strong bonding screeding ought to be done together with tiling...but kama ulishaweka screed , no problem fundi atafanya hacking..
