When you raised the flag, it brought back memories of when I was in security forces reveille and retreat ceremony.
You marched out to the flag pole, and when the base played the national anthem, with white gloves on you slowly lowered the flag at a steady slow pace to match the music.
Once lowered you and your wingman would fold the flag together.
Once accomplished together you would march to your vehicle or building to secure the flag.
That was retreat and morning ceremony was reveille.
Which required marching to flag pole and raising the flag slowly to the base music playing the National Anthem.
It always made me feel proud to be serving, with eyes on you and the flag.

I spent 26 and 1/2 years as a commissioned officer in the U. S. Navy, retiring as a Commander back in 2007, and I've heard The Star-Spangled Banner played more times than I can count, but I've never heard a sweeter version than the one you played on this video. At 65, I guess I'm prone to get a bit teary-eyed every now and then, but that wonderful anthem and those beautiful green fields put a huge lump in my throat and got the old waterworks going pretty strong. So this old Veteran thanks and salutes you with all his heart.

Back in the 1980s, I worked for a freight forwarding company in what is now the posh Seaport district in Boston. Our office in the yard was 4 containers, stacked 2 by 2, with windows and doors. No running water, so you had to go into the main building for a toilet or sink. I see on YT that people make tiny homes with them, so what a great re-use of these old containers.

Did you know if you put up United States Flag and you do not lower and raise it dailey. Then you must shine a light on it at in the darkness. Suggestion mount on the following items to the shipping container a spot light, and wire together a little solar panel with battery back up plus a light sensor. So durning the day the solar panel charges the battery and when the sun goes down have light sensor turns on the spot light facing on the flag when it is dark and make it automatic. Then you will be respectfully displaying the flag properly. Is it illegal to leave a flag out at night?
According to the US Flag Code, all American flags should be displayed from sunrise to sunset every day. Lowering the flag at night is an ultimate sign of respect for Old Glory. But like many rules, there is an exception. You can keep your flag flying 24-hours if it is properly illuminated during all hours of darkness. This info is from a variety of of source like VA, the Flag Store, and many other’s sources

99 great video stacking containers I didn’t tell anybody what your plans are or you want the big open space like Andrew Cammarata great idea if you’re gonna do that height in the shop is always important as for you flying all glory that’s a great thing a lot of people forgotten about the American flag you should look up Isaac Hayes the Indian the American Indian that helped raise the flag….On emoji Emma and you probably won’t know what pipe they used to put the flag on…….the Japanese dug a lot of caves and they use steel pipes with holes to catch the rain water down in the caves The Marines and the GIs took two lengths of some pipe and put it together to raise the flag and also if you leave the flag up at night it’s supposed to be illuminated by the light just glad to see you’re raise the flag ……I get off my soapbox now Samuel bacon
