Great price in the 204 Chris. The 204 is also the go to for me and now looking at the 102. Let me know what you think about the 102. Regarding an expensive camera I using a Compact but if you are not doing reports for clients (mostly for insurance claims or big clients like commercial or condos) stick to Chinese. I starte with a Steel Dragon 900N and let me tell you that for the $ it still does a great job for much less $. Thank you brother
Haha I wanted one of those steel dragons for a while now! I have a friend that uses them out in Colorado and he loves them. I bought another nicer Chinese camera that you’ll start to see in upcoming videos it’s the Spartan Sentinel. I HIGHLY recommend the k9-102 specially if you like the 204 and you have gotten use to its strengths and weaknesses! The 102 in my opinion is actually a better unit! I’m also hearing that from a lot of other guys the 102 really gets the job done in the smaller 1.5-2” lines!! Good luck out there brother thanks for dropping by I look forward to talking with you more!
I agree 100%. I have a Compact 2 with a Csx6 monitor but the 900N it is the best you can get for the $. Super reliable and gets the job done always. I actually own 2 SD 900N
I have the 204 and 102. Easily they pay for themselves many many times over. As far as jetting that line I would have using my mini reel probably. I also have the JM1000 electric for smaller lines that is super simple to set up and use, and destroys 2" lines full of grease.
Hey guys, the rigid cable cost $350 and the plastic spool is bout $1,500. My question is this, why do we need that case…can’t we get the shaft and use it on a cord real etc?
The way ridgid's k9s are set up theyre well worth the money, I have flex shafts i use outside of a reel and its no where near as easy to use, if it binds up the thing flops all over ties itself in knots its much easier to have the k9 the way they are designed is perfect but they will work either way.
Absolutely love it, yes i oil the cables probably every other month, I use plumber-tools.com cables they’re easier to repair and a little more sturdy definitely recommend their knockers too
The k9-204 goes out 75 feet , I ran this out the entire 75 feet, This was a gnarly clog have you ever seen the dental floss stuff I pulled out? Do you agree its dental floss? Im really not one hundred percent sure thats what it is.
@@PlumbingExplained Unless the place is a dental clinic I'm thinking no..I'm thinking roots of some kind I've have here in Omaha pull out tons of roots out of a mainline where the tree had been remove some ten years ago Yeah.. bat shit crazy I know but it has happen.. peace & out..
Its not roots its definitely some sort of string or thread, ive pulled it out of a few different drains here in Southern California it almost is like the material they make baseballs out of before they cover them with leather.

Hi Chris , I have a Ridgid K9 12 and K9 204 .I love what they do but I can on push them to go about have of their total length .Its like pushing a wet noodle up hill. I understand from their product manual they suggest using the fastest RPM cordless drill to drive these mahines. I believe this is crucial to optimal performance. What drill did you decide to use with your flexshaft machines. Please advise . Dave Doyle
The k9-102 and k9-204 are ridgids flex shaft tools you see me use in alot of these videos, they’re great they use a drill with a clutch instead of something you have to plug in so they’re very portable and great tools for 1 1/4 - 4” pipe. The k9-102 does 1 1/4” - 2” and the 204 does 2”-4”
Oh derrrrrrrr Thanks man, I’m waiting on 2 flex shafts and a camera now should be here by Tuesday. I I made my 1st drain bucks 2 days ago w a toilet auger so I’m still learning the words etc. Question, can a flexshaft be used through a toilet into the drain below? Or does the toilet always need to come out?
@@PlumbingExplained do you charge extra to use this machine. I need up buying a 75 foot 3/8 flex shaft and I use a electric drill with no clutch. Works good
I just cleared a mainline with about 3 feet of the line fully impacted with roots in under 30 minutes, with a flex shaft I have a 300 for sale if you want to buy one.

What are your thoughts on the Ridgid K60sp?
Im interested in the K9-12 how does it compare with the K9-102?
Are you using the K9 204 for sewer lines 3 inch with roots?
I do but I also have better flex shafts than that.
Im just a home owner. I rented a 5/8 from HD, I want buy my own. What do you rec. I found roots in my 3 inch sewer@@PlumbingExplained

We are using flexshaft more an more every day.
They’re a game changer

How does this work on soft poop stoppages
I typically poke a hole with a cable machine, get it draining then ill run water and come through with this and clean the line back to like new!

@@PlumbingExplained good idea poking a hole in the blockage to get the water moving.

Bro, a 3 in c cutter and spartan 300 would have cleared that clog in 15 min. Flex shafts are great but not for these kinds of clogs IMO.

amazing how many people think the toilet is a trash can
