Gotta do an update on them how are they holding up ? I just picked up the same box and subs from my local audio shop for $500 !!! Had seen these go for 700-900 and bought an apocalypse AAP 2100.1 class d am0 to pair it with cant wait to hear it hooked up.
I can do that, they still sound amazing, and yeah the pricing on them is crazy lol, I paid like 800 for the box and speakers if I remember correctly, but unfortunately I don’t have them in my truck anymore, I gave them to my dad since I upgraded to 4 skar audio 8” woofers, but I just heard them the other day and still sound flawless, probably even better than when they were in my truck!

Just messing with you. Your box and subs look good. I kinda run a similar setup. 2-8" SDR SKAR subs in a ported box under my Raptor, sounds good but i want more punch and less low bass. Switching over to a custom box and 4-6.5 EVL Skar subs. @@nationaloutlaws4818
Do your make a weird noise when you turn up the bass up?? 2nd pair and they develop this weird noise like it’s blown but running a test they check fine
I recommend them honestly, I had 2 12” before these and yes the 12” hit hard but these 8” hit harder clearer and they look so clean and meant to be, quality is definitely there, they are 1600 watts rms and I have a 2000 watt amp running them and they sound perfect
Thanks bro I'm literally debating getting them I currently have 2 x 10L7S in the kicker box, and believe me they loud but I like the look of the subs pointing out
This is loud to the point where my windshield wipers are flexing on certain songs but if you want louder than that maybe go with 4 8’s instead of 2 8’s The 8’s in my opinion sound clearer than if you had 12’s ( saying cause I had 12’a before, they don’t have the room to breathe properly ) and they really cool when pointing out towards you , if you have them pointed towards you I recommend getting grills on them because trust me if you don’t secure the box like I used to not have it secured in place, it will slide sides and back and forth and yes I have dented the grills but luckily I got them to pop back out and leave little to no damage where as if I wouldn’t have had the grills I’d be out of 2 expensive subs

What about fitment no problem when having some one in the middle seat any regret or you should of gotten something else reason I ask is cause I did what you said put it on the cart and I got a discount and thinking of pulling the trigger
Honestly they do get peoples attention and you can hear it from a far so I would recommend getting them, the quality of the subs and the box are top notch I haven’t had a problem with them and I push them with more power than recommended
Tbh the skar may have been a smidge louder but the Memphis sound clean crisp and clear throughout all the notes they play so I’d prefer the Memphis , quality over quantity, but i guess the money you want to spend comes into play as well because my Memphis set up al throughout was 1200$ and the skar was 700$
Seems like the excursion would hit the bottom of the seats with the box you built. The Memphis design might be better.. i work with a guy who built a box for his f150 similar to the Memphis box but used four 6½" American bass subs and that thing was stupid loud for 6½ subs, surprised tf out of me.
They probably did not gonna lie I used all the space I could, I’m no professional by the looks of it lol but at least I had something that sounded decent until I got these Memphis, these things kick, people think I have 12s and they look down and see they are only 2 8s

Yeah for a aftermarket, but I’m going to go oem, I like the ford emblem that’s built into the oem glass and when I get it replaced I’m going to remove the current tint I have on the truck and get it completely redone in ceramic film

Do they play pretty down low or they struggle
They play low, you just need a amp that has enough watts to get them low and also a good power cable and good voltage or else they’ll cut in and out 🥲

Yeah I don’t really know if it’s getting interference from something or idk tbh but imma put a resistor and imma insulate the rcas
I ended up taking off the grills and that seemed to be the problem.
