They're all garbage. Bought a brand new keystone raptor 43.5 ft. Everything fell off it. Microwave quit 4 months in. Head board didn't even make it home from dealer. Shock absorber broke on stairs. Igniter in furnace quit 3 months in. Toilet leaked fix that myself. Owned it for 18 months got rid of it . Lost 25 thousand dollars. What a piece of shit.

Grand Design has just gone downhill ever since being purchased by Winnebago. We had an older PW Grand Design (Pre-Winnegago) and it was an excellent RV. We full timed in it for a while and it was built pretty well. We recently sold it and purchased a brand new Brinkley. I will say the Brinkley is in fact made pretty well. We have been so pleased with it. As always, even with brand new RVs, I suggest getting an inspection done by a third party and do not accept delivery until you are satisfied that all items are in the condition you are satisfied with.

I’m glad you’re pleased with your Brinkley. The wife and I walked through a few of them at the dealer when our grand design was in getting repaired and we both agreed they aren’t what people are saying they are. They’re still low quality campers and that’s just our opinion.

Total junk, i don't know what was worse Grand Design quality or Northside Rv in Lexington Ky service department. Lost thousands getting rid of it but just couldn't deal with it any longer

we recently bought a camper and and intentionally bought a small single axle travel trailer for like 26k... Coachmen Apex...So far so good... I figure we can try to make some memories in it.. which we are.. and max downside for trash quality is... 26k :)... hopefully the industry has a revolution or something before the wife and I want to go on the road full time in retirement... not buying trash for 100k+

I own a Coachmen Class C. If you are looking for quality in an RV, you will be disappointed. If you think customer service will help, it is very likely you will be disappointed. I’ve learned to fix the numerous issues that have arisen with my camper myself. Good Luck trying to get your camper repaired by a dealer during the camping season. Enjoy the camping experience despite the shortcomings you will find in your camper.

Grand design was a really well done trailer before it was sold to Winnebago. Now I agree, not so much.

Owned by Winnebago, they have a strong balance sheet. Not that easy to to just decide to file bankruptcy. Winnebago could decide to shut down GD, however, I think people could still go after the parent company, Winnebago. Every owner with all these problems with any RV needs to flood the social media sites with videos and documentation of the issues and how they are being handled.

We had a 2018 solitude 310gk, that after 9 months of owning it from new, went back to the factory. After looking at it, and how it was falling apart, they sent me a 2019 to replace it.

I don't own, but in my research on new RVs, it seems that they are cutting corners left and right as I keep finding mega issues and lemons. I think that a class action lawsuit and a over haul of the RV industry is in order. Ford company I has allegedly had more lemons. One RV needed a lot of fixing on warranty as the RV wasn't even fit for purchase when it was finally delivered.

I’m curious did you spend as much time inspecting your RV before you signed the purchase papers did you? Or were you so giddy with a new RV that you just hooked up and brought it home? Was there a hose and power cord hooked up so you could test haul the functions of everything did you open up every cabinet door, pull out every drawer and inspect everything before you sign the documents! I have owned over 31 RVs in my life I have never ever had a problem with anything except for one time in the year 2000 I ordered out a brand new fifth wheel and it had a Center support for the awning, they neglected to drill a hole in the awning roller. That is the only issue in all my years since the 60s having an issue with any RV.

@@ronaldohagenow1467 Ya I inspected before buying it. The camper is a piece of junk. It just came back from the grand design factory and it literally broke on the way back. So on average you keep a camper two years or less if you’ve had 31 campers. That’s not very long to have much problems. No I didn’t get giddy about buying it. My kids and wife make me giddy. I bought this camper in June 2023 and it has either been at the dealer or grand design getting fixed or in winter storage broken since I’ve owned it other than one trip. These are all things that should be caught by PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection). Water leaks can't always be found during PDI. That power box is not a stock item which makes me think it's been pre-owned. Something rattle loose when traveling any distance. Your putting grand design down so hard for such little things and you act like you know grand design is going to be bankrupt. If anything, grand design is one of the rv manufacturers doing the best and has one of the customer service teams. Go find a few other brands that I won't mention and let me know how that "Pre-owned" Grand design is doing...

@@jaysonstebbins2539 This camper was bought brand new that power box is in there because they didn’t have the right parts so they scabbed together enough stuff to build the camper. They willing admitting that to me. I took this camper on one 200 mile trip and now the frame is so bad that if you set it on the truck, the side storage door will pop open because the frame flexes so bad. The sidewall is cracked and bowed out and the bedroom door frame is bowed out 3/4 of an inch in the center because the wall sagged down so much. I said they they are going to go bankrupt because if they keep producing what they are, they won’t be in business for long. @Rvcamperproblems that's sad to hear. They were doing so well. This isn't the first time I've heard of frame issues. I'm guessing they dropped their standards on their frame welds and went to a smaller I beam as well. That company has so much money that I would like to say they will make things right. Unfortunately, not soon enough but in the future. Thanks for the feedback and professionalism. I'm not on here to bash people but I spent 5 years working on almost nothing but fleetwood and grand design.
