  • Channel Fife's Graeme and Farooqi speak to people within the East Wemyss area to discover why their caves are of such historic interest and discuss recent findings which are yet to be explained by historians. It is also the day of Jimmy Shand's memorial plaque being unvailed so we speak to individuals about the legendary accordion player and the effect he has had on the community.

Used to go to these caves with my Grandfather when I was a wee boy and get told stories of ghosts and ghoulies, they were always facinatiing, it would be so sad if they were lost.

I grew up in East Wemyss so it's great to see people trying to preserve the local history. That said what happened to the local accent? Hardly any of them sound like the locals I grew up with.
