If you get a graphtec cutter. Specifically the CE7000-60 model. It comes with the Graphtec Studio Pro software that does the same thing that you can use for the other BN series printers plus not to mention that you get better and faster cuts with the cutter rather than using the BN for that. Just thought i would share this for those BN users.
Great video! I’m getting mine on Monday and yep…went through Swing to get it. :) Can you use Flexi to adjust the cut line? If you wanted to add some points or remove points in the cut line…can you do that in Flexi?

I'm considering getting a Roland but I have 1 question for you....If you wanted to make your design into a car decal & not a sticker could you take your design "LAST DAY OF SCHOOL" & instead of cutting around the perimeter...could you cut around the letters & also inside the letter "A" & "O" & weed out the inside of "A & O" letters & kinda like make the background transparent...instead of white?? Thanks so much...I LUV your videos!!
Yes absolutely - I just put an offset around this to make it all one sticker, but if you wanted to contour cut right up against each element of of the design you definitely can do that.
I'm following along but every time I get to 'go to effects and select contour cut ' it only selects the square around my image, not sure what I'm doing wrong here, any help? Thanks
Can you have contour perf and contour kiss cut on the same design? So the outside is a perf cut and the inside would be kiss cut? For sticker sheets? Does that make sense?
I am loving your channel. When you create stickers or signage do you use laminate? I have been looking to find information on if laminate is a standard step or there are considerations when making that decision. Will stickers fade without laminate?
I typically do not laminate, but if they are going to be outdoors or have a lot of sun exposure or you want your stickers to be more rigid you may opt to laminate
Every time i print with this printer there is like little dots on it how do i fix that its not like a full color they still look good when you see it from a far distance but in a close distance they have like dots
One more question! :) If you set up a design with a cut line and the amount you want to print off, can you save out that “job” to pull back up and print and cut again in the future without having to re-set up everything? Thanks!
Yes you can! You can export from Flexi with the cut lines on. This is is also what you would do if you wanted to import the file into Versaworks and print from there.

That really, really depends on what YOU need! I find that most of what I’m doing, I can just use a white material instead of needing white ink. The white also increases maintenance.

And I know this video is not about the BN-20, but I see you're very knowledgeable in the machine so would you know if this is suitable software for it or is there something you would recommend that would be better?
There are several reasons for that. You'll need to check the Utility to see what's going on it. It could be the heater/dryer coming up to temperature or you have some type of error that needs to be cleared such as a required cleaning.

Tt sounds like your PNG is not transparent

Is it easier to weed than a Cricut vinyl? I am considering getting this for names to cut out for seating charts
Good quality vinyl should not be hard to cut, no matter the machine, if you have the correct cut settings.
@@SilhouetteSchool not true! I use teckwrap, Cricut brand, etc if the font or image is small it becomes very difficult to weed

My advice, buy Affinity Designer before it goes subscription based like Illustrator.
