I’ve been asking for a long time, we’re lucky to get a 20 min video. Maybe his internet is trash or maybe he’s just set in his ways, but he’ll say “this video is already getting too long” at 14 minutes when most gaming channels do at least 30 minutes. Obviously someone else edits them so he must just give them free reign to decide the length.

I love the 30 minute videos Drae! Would love to see longer videos in general but I know you spend hours playing a game just for it to be a 15 minute video. And you have Madison to look after so it's understandable. Maybe try cutting out parts of games less because I would actually like to see you grinding more and not always doing things off-camera in games :)

If you want another fun historical game, play 1066. It’s a browser game, but it is so good. It has the campaign, where it goes through the story of what happed in England in 1066 AD. The Viking invasion, the English pushing them out, and then the Normans conquering England. It’s a strategy game where you control various armies. There’s also a skirmish mode where you can make custom battles.

I went past a town called Nanton that has a B52 bomber, they fire it up once a while and the roar of the engines has nothing you can compare to.
Heck i would be happy to pay for a game like this very cool and detailed. Wonder if they take donations or at least they should.
8:30 not exactly a pilot but im an auto tech and i imagine your turning on starters and once the engine is running you have to turn the switch off or you'll over stress the starter which would put resistance on the engine shutting it back off
I just finished this game, the overall length is about 70-80mins I took 77 but it is so good honestly one of the best games I have ever played on steam

9:48 I believe one of the items you picked up was called a dalton computer and it was used for navigation although I may be wrong and I also cannot explain a dalton computer as I don’t really get them or know how to use them
You know, as someone that was going for a degree in Eastern European history, I LOVE games like this since, for some reason, a lot of history classes in general just barely, if at all, talk about how WWI, WWII, and the Cold War went down in Eastern Europe. It's really fascinating to me, especially because Poland and Hungary in particular did a lot of crazy and inane shit during those time periods.
Edit: Yes, I KNOW this is not entirely accurate. But the fact that people are even ACKNOWLEDGING countries other than the big players in these wars is a lovely thing to see.
My school in Uk taught us quite a lot of the different countries that fought in those wars, even some of the more interesting side of things like the bear that was trained in syria by the polish, it helped move ammunition and such (theres an easter egg of him in this video) his name was Wojtek. Idk if all schools taught like that in the UK though but a lot of what happened in the wars is common knowledge here.
I just wish the voice acting in this was better. The BBC had a VR game where you went on a bombing raid to Berlin, but all the dialog was actual recordings from a radio broadcast (where the journalist went onboard).

The games intro reminds me of cod world at war and I think is an amazing and interesting way to educate and portray games that cover the topic

Funny thing, in France we flied on Cauldron Renault planes, which had sort of fabric instead of solid material on wings.

A lot of ww2 planes used fabric instead of aluminium for the coverings on airframes, it was light and durable for what was needed at the time. Of course there was also a lot of exceptions, like the British Lancaster's and spitfires that were made of metal, the control surfaces on the spitfire however were still made of fabric as it was just cheaper and made the plane slightly lighter, with drawbacks of course. Higher rates of speed and manoeuvres could cause the fabric to distort or even tear.

It's always so surreal to watch English speakers watching Pole's teach history. I think we know when we're watching hypernationalists do what hypernationalists do with history, but because we've been taught to feel sorry for them, we just smile and nod 🙂
