This was on Facebook and thought I would watch it, I knit and crochet, and make jewelry, but always had a problem with beads, love the tip of using the wire. Thank you.
Awesome Thankyou!! I never would have thought to crochet the ring!! Brilliant. I made some dream catchers when I was younger. Recently I did a buy up of yarn & thread & there were these brass rings I bought too, thinking of a wind chime or SOMETHING. Then I thought a dream catcher! While watching this I was noting some ideas then BINGO!! Now I know what to do with my American Indian bone carved frog button!! My M&D went to Canada & bought me a bunch of beautiful things form artisans & sock yarn! So precious, but I just did not know what to do with this beautiful button. I certainly didn't want to wear it on anything in case of getting lost. This is perfect!!! He will go right in the centre :)) Thankyou very much for a thought provoking tutorial. Good one too ;) Much thanks :))
Thank you! I'm glad you found our video inspirational. Sounds like a great plan for your American Indian bone carved frog button. "Catch those dreams" :)
This was super helpful; thank you! I'm very happy with the dreamcatcher I made from this tutorial -- it's for my four-year-old niece, who has nightmares. Anyway, I just wanted to tell anyone who's following this tutorial: don't pull the yarn tight at the start of the webbing! It made it very taut very quickly. I wish I hadn't tightened it. Also, use yarn/thread that can handle a fair amount of tension and won't rip!
Cat London Thank you. I'm glad you were able to use the information in the tutorial to create a special gift for your niece. I'm sure she will love it! And thanks for adding your additional tips, that will be helpful to others. :)
Yay I did my frost small one!! After a bit of a mess yesterday .. Today I triumphed! It looks so good .. I keep looking at it saying "I made that!?" Lol. I did the crocheted edge but in super chunky, basically roving with a slight twist. It has given the appearance of white wolf or fox fur & males the whole thing work. I used #10 thread for my web. A pretty crystal jewel to catch to catch the light (got that from your web, u put a sparkly bead in the centre) Thanks for that cause it really makes it pop. Thanks again :)) I'll post you a photo when I do the big one! Can't wait to put that frog on there ;) THANKYOU!
How to make a crochet-wrapped dreamcatcher. This is a bit of a throwback, but really fun to make for friends and family. And, much appreciated for those who believe in their legendary ability to filter out the bad dreams. This is an easy beginner project for someone just learning crochet, too, as it only uses the single crochet to wrap. #DIY #crochet
Beautiful dream catcher and SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TUTORIAl if only I could have a clear vision and better picture of how it's done ,not even the final result is showing the entire work. I'm not trying to offend you , completely the opposite , I really loved this organic and minimalist and boho style I relate.its very beautiful and I wish you could post a better or bigger picture and the final result. Wish you only the best and much love. Thank you for sharing.
khanh le You can buy feathers from your local craft store. If you not, try Amazon - amzn.to/1TYxfCe or an online craft store like Joanns.com or michaels.com
