I love the funkiness in the songs of the Wiz. All of MJ’s vocal slides and percussive ad libs we’re so unique. I think we forget he started as a soul singer but this is a reminder. The scarecrows got down

The Wiz is one of my childhood favorite movie. It has a lot of people & good songs you can sing to. I even have that movie (lol), but it’s a really good movie. It was made really good
Fun fact: This song was actually used during the original musical’s tryout before it went to Broadway. This song was actually meant to be performed by the Winged Monkeys as the mock and tease Dorothy after she was captured to Evilene’s castle. This song was eventually left on the cutting room floor when the show transferred to Broadway, being replaced with “Wonder, Wonder Why”, but eventually found a second life with this movie, even so far as being used in the 2015 live TV broadcast.

Diana is the worst Dorothy I've ever seen in my life. Even Nipsey Russell wasn't much of a singer and he was better at being the Tin Man than she was at being Dorothy. Her acting was just not that good. And you're right Michael was the best and he was only 19!
He was the only reason why I used to watch the WIZ tbh but my favorite character
