@imakaiya: What you may not know about Elize Ryd is that way back in 2012, she was touring with Nightwish as a Kamelot vocalist. In Denver, Annette Olzon, Nightwish's lead vocalist, had to go to the hospital. And rather than cancel the show, as the venue was already full, Nightwish opted to get Elize Ryd and Alyssa White-Gluz to basically prepare to sing for Nightwish -- and they had only 55 minutes to prepare. Despite not having hardly any time, I wouldn't say the setlist wasn't perfect, but Nightwish did the best they could. After that show, Floor Jansen joined Nightwish as a guest vocalist -- and the rest is history. So much so that it was immortalized in the Nightwish documentary "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours." However, what that also has led Elize Ryd to do is learn the music of other bands she tours with! I'm not sure if you've reacted to it, but Amaranthe did a cover of Sabaton's song "82nd All The Way," about the most decorated American soldier of World War I, Sgt. Alvin York, who while serving in Europe, managed to kill 5 machine gun nests and captured 270 German soldiers single-handedly. In terms of covers, while I love Joakim's voice (see Christmas Truce), Amaranthe did an awesome job, covering 82nd All The Way. If you haven't reacted to it, I highly recommend it!
I've met with Elize Ryd the female vocalist and let me tell ya, Elize is one the nicest person you'll ever gonna meet. One of a kind of a person so she's literally puts a smile and has a sense of humor too❤❤❤❤❤
You know, there _is_ footage here on RUclips of the "Denver Debacle," the night Elise Ryd of Amaranth filled in for Nightwish just days before Floor was brought in to replace Anette.
I was introduced to the band with the video for 'Nexus' from their 2nd album. Cool video, it looks like the whole band was stuck in a cyro-prison, and decades later they wake up and fight their way out. They've had some lineup changes, mainly in male vocalists, but I think my favorite albums have been the 2 most recent. 'Viral' from their 2020 album is about the pandemic, and it's a total banger as well. Side note, the drummer Morten is engaged to Melissa Bonny of Ad Infinitum.
Elize Ryd, the female singer in Amaranthe tried out for the position as singer in Nightwish, when they eventually selected Anetter. Elize was at the point considered to young. However she did sing together with nightwish in the Denver deblacle together with... Well... Look into who she sang with in Kamelot.
You get a lot of variations with many lead vocalist going back and forth here. It is a bit surprising that there are not many more bands that do it. We tend to do this quite a lot. However, we are more like an international band/project and don't have to worry about playing these songs live. It would be quite confusing if the band only had one vocalist (as most bands) and 2/3 of the vocals would be playback. Amaranthe has 3 lead vocalists, so this is not an issue for them, but a strength that has made them into one of the best within their niche!
Yes music was great back then! Amaranthe still sounds the same though. Same genre , same fast beat. ALWAYS catchy!!! Cheeck out "Drop Dead Cynical" , "The Nexus" "Viral" "Fearless" "365" etc etc.
You should come onto one of TNT's Friday night metal meltdown live streams sometime Kaiya. Great peeps & we do metal song battles. You're both fun reactor folks. Zak Wilde swings by once in a while!
I did a reaction of some of their new music that's just waiting to be cleared by Napalm! :) They are soooo goood. Somewhere Better has been stuck in my head for weeks.

This band improves every album
Those first 2 records are stupidly addictive.

Yes, that's true. She's such a sweetheart.
You know, there _is_ footage here on RUclips of the "Denver Debacle," the night Elise Ryd of Amaranth filled in for Nightwish just days before Floor was brought in to replace Anette.
Ah yes, as I recall it was both Elise and Alissa white-gluz of Arch Enemy who at the time were singers with Kamelot
Love this and! and Elize is such a sweetheart. Can't wait to hear the new stuff they are cooking up.
I see you André 😂
Just saw them live last weekend, and when Hunger started you could really feel it in the crowd, people got even more hyped lol
Try their newer stuff too. Harder and better :) You must see the video Boom with them. Great song and amazing video
Thanks from sweden on your reaction 😍

Great reaction to one of my favorite Amaranthe songs! 👏🏻👏🏻🤘
Yet another band from my hometown.....Gothenburg is a great music city!
Good pick @haunted entity ! 😉. 🤘🏼🐨🤘🏼
I see you 😂
Nile has 3 vocalists as well lol
Difference is; Amaranthe has 3 people singing in different styles, and they are dedicated vocalists.
Unexpect is another metal band with three singers. Also a violinist (Before Ne Obliviscaris). They're petty avant-garde. Good stuff!
So is "MaYan"
Yes to Unexpect! This for me is all but avant-garde... not my can of Coke
they have been one of my favorites since 2015 and Elize auditioned to replace Tarja in Nghtwish but Anete was chosen
ruclips.net/video/Mi9BtooY3Ko/видео.html here is her doing NEMO
Pop music meets metal
Maybe that´s the reason i don´t like them much
Listen to Kiske Somerville
I promise you’ll like it
Especially the City of Heroes album

Good start with Amaranthe a 'old' track...🇸🇪

Kiss all members sang

Is Zak not written with a y in the lastname?
Amaranthe is BAE for my Metal
The Sins of thy Beloved, also had 3 vocalists
Well, according to their timeline, they only ever had 2 "lead" singers at the most. Arild was a backup singer.
Digital world next
Subbed
Please react to The Sundays
Song: Wild Horses
Rolling Stones Cover Song
I want to like this band but it’s a bit too pop/metal. She has a good voice though
Check out Ad Infinitum they are amazing .
I did a reaction of some of their new music that's just waiting to be cleared by Napalm! :) They are soooo goood. Somewhere Better has been stuck in my head for weeks.
I actually think they are becoming my fave band, they are awesome and Melissa Bonny is on another level in my opinion.
Not my can of coke
Thats WIERD 3 vocalists wow
