    It's nice to see a video made by a person who has some age - I'm a 70 yr old lady and appreciate seeing someone who isn't young and spry doing the job. It gives me the confidence to also do this myself. And I loved the 2 cats!

    Great video brother! This is one of the only DIY videos I've watched where the job done by the video maker looks as hard as the actual job. You worked through all the issues your viewing public is likely to face. Thanks for creating and posting!

    This was an excellent half of a video. It was very helpful, but I wish you would’ve shown us how to put it back together. I really struggled with the sink stopper, and had to search through many, many videos until I could find one that showed me how to put this back together. Really appreciated the first part though. Very helpful!

    Thanks for the video. Just so happens it looks like the exact same faucet I just bought and will be installing soon. I installed the original myself but, that was 30 years ago. This will be the first time doing a replacement. Like you, I like and installed all Delta when I built the house so, other than a couple rebuilds of the kitchen faucet (replacing o-rings once, whole cartridge once), haven't had to do anything. So, watching somebody else do it should help.
    Btw, I will also have a feline supervisor, Sookie Sue. :)

    Thank you for the video. I have a 20+ (likely older) Delta single handle faucet. It was dripping. I bought the correct replacement cartridge (RP50587 ), but the bonnet nut was frozen by years of scale. Applications of WD-40 helped but the fastening underneath that holds the old cartridge is also frozen. In attempting to unscrew it with channel locks, I cracked the old faucet on the cold side, worsening the leak. This is amazing because I have so little strength in my hands. There are straight pipes without shutoffs below the sink. I have plans to remodel the entire bathroom but I need a short term fix. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

      Sorry to hear about your problems. I hope you turned off water to the house. Can you remove the water lines from the bottom? If so, hopefully you can remove the faucet and install the new one. If the retaining bolts are frozen, you can use a grinder to cut them off. At some point, it would be suggested that you install cutoff valves under the sink. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    I need to see the video BEFORE this one. I'm still at the loosening up the screws stage. Mine is the same one that he removed, what tool is used to loosen the nuts underneath? I tried sockets, deep well sockets, nothing seems to work. No room for a wrench, tight area. Any ideas?

    • @DIYwithWayne

      If they are old and in bad shape, it can be very difficult to get them off. A tool like this can help amzn.to/3MLHXL0 Good luck with your project and have a great day.

      @@DIYwithWayne - I haven't really tried to remove the nuts yet. I am still having issues getting to them. A pliars is one of my tools of choice since a wrench or sockets are out of the question. I will take a look at the tool in your link you sent above. Thanks! :)

    I have the same type of countertop and sink in my house. What type of countertop is that? How do I clean the residue from the old faucet? Thanks in advanxe

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure what the material is but it is a liquid that is poured into a mold and cured. I use a cleaned like Comet but most should work. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    I live in a mobile home with pex or poly lines, do I need special connectors or adapters to hook a sink up?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 года назад +1

      If you are replacing old faucets, the connectors will most likely be the same. If you have different connectors, take what you can to a plumbing parts or big box hardware store and they should be able to help you get the correct connectors. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    Very helpful, but I could have done without the cats. Don’t understand how the cats enhanced the content. The cats derrière was a bit offensive. Just sayin’

      I found them to be more of a distraction once after their introduction. Though I’m not a huge cat fan, i think I’d feel the same had they been funny puppies. Not a big deal, sorta double right tap to get to the content on all videos anyways. So am grateful for the content he provided here; and for the fact I can’t get an itchy nose and watery eyes by watching it,,, I have to give the vid a thumbs up and a thank you.
