So tell me America, what didn't you like about these guys? You preferred the Ramones over this! Really? Huge all over the world, sold more records than the Who, had more hit singles in the UK charts than any other artist EVER, including Elvis and The Beatles!!! Yet America rejected them. Don't get it, you don't know what you missed out on. One of the best live acts ever. Very few come close to how good they are live.

As good as Quo were you don't have to make up fake facts about them. There are 37 artists that more chart hits in the UK and 3 others that had the same amount. I agree the US missed out but no need to just lie.

Status Quo..Rick Parfitt is singing. I knew him since 1978 personally and we had many parties in Amsterdam where i'm from. Also i was around 400 concerts with Access All Aereas passes since 1979 till 2014.
He was a fantastic ritthem gitarplayer/singer and very humble.
He passed away in 2016 Christmas Eve 😢
It hitted so hard and to know,i would never hear and see him anymore...
    He was only 66.
    I'm 63 now.
    And since i was 14,in 1974 became a fan,and 4 years later i met Rick.
So i knew him also in privat life for almost 40 years ! Best regards from me, Amsterdam The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Just intoxicating to see a band so brilliant at what they do such an extended piece. Huge respect to the keyboard/harmonica player, what a fantastic musician he is. Always loved the Quo as I grew up during the seventies and eighties. My dad was into Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, etc. and had Quo's LP Hello! A lasting memory is when the family collectively swallowed our pride and *ALL* went to a Quo concert together for my dad's birthday (I think) when my sister and I were in our twenties. Such a great concert and such a diverse and lovely crowd (I'll never forget the big hairy biker dudes making a wall to keep the granny and her granddaughters safely bouncing up and down in front of the stage). Enjoyed it so much I bought a T-shirt which I wore with pride despite all my student friends taking the piss... hahaha! Don't think I've heard this medley before but know all of the tunes.

Jeff Rich was the drummer with Quo from 1986 til 2002. This live recording was from 1992. The bit after Jeff's solo is commonly referred to as the, 'Irish Washer Woman.' Not to mention the, 'Mexican Hat Dance!' Quo also had a hit that reached no.7 in the UK charts with their cover of, 'The Wanderer.' Then, there's, 'Marguerita Time', (reached no.3 in the UK charts), which is controversial among some fans, (and band members at the time of release), due to claims it didn't sound like Quo, (more pop/country sounding), despite it doing so well in the charts! 'Living On An Island', was another hit which reached a respectable, (but not as high a position), of no.16 in the charts. Another more gentle sounding song written and sung by Rick Parfitt. Then we go right back into their signature sound with, 'Break The Rules', another high-ranking no. 8 UK hit. A song you really ought to listen to the original version of! 'Something 'bout You Baby I Like', is another cover version which reached no. 9 in the UK. Then we get, 'The Price Of Love', which is a cover of an Everly Brothers song, before returning to, 'Roadhouse Blues.'
The Chuga-Chuga-Chuga-Chuga is the infectious sound that sums up Quo's winning formula. Once you get the bug, you'll never forget it.
You've got to do, 'forty-five hundred times!'

If you keep still there's something wrong with you LOL And they are still playing I believe though with some changes in the lineup as people died. I mean this band first started in 1962, 60 years ago. the old rock n rock had life. Most of these songs weren't the hits that were most popular but still great.

This was indeed a great memory. First heard Quo when Pictures of Matchstick men was released in early 1968, when I was just turned 10 and liked what I heard. My music consumption then was via Top Of The Pops and radio and it was a long time before I became totally hooked on buying records, going to gigs etc. Eventually saw Quo live around 50 times (lost count although I know many people have seen them many more times than I have!) When they announced the acoustic tour due to Rick's health I decided to skip seeing them and haven't seen them since. For me, Rick was the driving force, the heartbeat of the band and without him it just isn't the same. RIP Rick.

So great to see an American into Status Quo, when they didn't make it over there. Why was that? Just straight forward head banging good time rock and roll, which doesn't take itself too seriously. Music to have a party with. Such a pity that some of them are no longer with us. But maybe you youngsters can learn a thing or two and get back to basics, if the suits will let you. It has been done before. Fight for your right to rock! Of course there was 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men' that made waves on American radio... But it wasnt until Live Aid that I gotnmy first real taste of Status Quo. I was super impressed. A friend had an SQ best of sort of album, and made me a cassette copy. That got me by for a few years. Then I saw them again on an MTV broadcast of 1990s Knebworth Festival. I then became a serious fan and began collecting SQ material for real. Been a big fan ever since. Its crazy to me that, here in America, almost nobody knows them. My wife, who I was dating at the time of the 1990 festival, is just now catching on to their greatness. 34 years ago that was. Ive had albums, CDs, VHS, DVDs, books, posters, bumper stickers, etc... And she is just now catching on to how great they are. Its always been something in the background to her...and then it just hit her like freight train one day.

If you want to see status quo in America watch "young and moody Caroline" the young is Bob Young quo's manager Moody is Mick Moody I think out of White snake they toured around USA it's played how it was 1st written as a country blues song the video is all still pics of the tour. Also listen to Quo at their best "slow train" from their Quo, Quo album. Great Chanel keep posting

Can you believe the BBC announced they would no longer play Quo songs in 1996... Since when did ANY radio station do that... to any band... and if they did... to one with the status/history of Quo! I never understood that decision!

Roadhouse was originally written and recorded by The Doors, Jim Morrison ( Doors lead singer) apparently heard them doing this live at the Whisky and said that they were good but just too damn loud. Now whether that's true I don't know, but Quos's version Rocks more than the Doors!

Not the same without Alan Lancaster's bluesy voice.

They are technically average to good , at their best. However of all the great bands of our times, they are without a doubt the best entertainment you could possibly want. Especially live.

A friend of mine jammed with Francis when the band was touring in Australia in the late 70s. He said Francis was a much better guitarist than he ever showed playing with band

Sorry folks, I’ve seen the real status quo back in the 70’s live, and this ain’t it! Without john coughlin on the drums, and alan Lancaster on base, this is only half a quo. You’ve got parfitt and rossi here, but that’s just half the frantic four. It’s just not the same as the real thing. 😢🤷‍♂️
