Took me 2 and a half minutes to realize those crow's just sitting in the field were decoys😅. I recently started watching hunting videos and this was a new lesson.
hey bud. awesome video. quick question for you, did you have any problems with your safety on that gun. like it being stuff or hard to use when mounting on a bird? i’m looking to get that gun but saw a review or 2 saying that it was stiff but it could’ve just been that gun. let me know what you think thanks!
Thanks Jordan! About the gun... I have it for many years now. So I had to dig in my memory 😉 and remember that the first time I was out with the gun on the shooting range, I found it stiff. After a few runs in the field, not any more. Just like a car and other things... 😂 good luck
You 've mastered that flying away shot. Wish I could do the same. That is a lot of crows. The song birds will hatch more eggs. All that bending for more shells must have given you a sore back! Thanks for the video. Best wishes for the New Year.
Hi Musher, happy New Year! all the best for you, your family and your dogs. Hope you have a great hunting / trapping year. In all the action I was not thinking about the back 😂 they kept on coming, could not believe what we saw. I was shooting not bad that day, some distances there. Also some miss, part of hunting! Have a nice day!
My advice: Use a modified choke if you want to smoke them at 20 to 40 yards. You'll get a wider pattern with a modified choke. Full choke will allow you to, easier, hit them at 40+ yards. I used shot 7 1/2 on crows. They're thin skinned, don't really need any heavier pellets.
@@Scream1980 here in the Midwest we have the thickest skinned crows there is to ever be on earth we’ve shot them with .22 and not had them die. Shotguns too. As well as a bow. And a pellet gun. they are tough Around here

Hi, it's the crow magnum waggle. On my instagram i have a video about the multiflapper (electronic piece). Check that one out. Is a great help with these crows.
Hi Tom, it really was, especially because it was so unexpected. We planned to take out duck houses for the winter and we tried to do some damage control before we went in the water with waders. I knew there were crows and jackdaws around, but not at these numbers. So we did some business here 😉 I also use .12. Recently I got a thousand, then I get a better price. It's €9 per box, so +/- 9,65 usd. These crows owe me € 36,- 😂. price may vary depending on the brand, could be a bit cheaper. I wish you a good new year. 👍
Reloading is kinda starting to get affordable again, I can load my own shells for about $5-$6 a box ever since I got my shipment of 5000 Cheddite primers a few months ago, first time I've had primers in three years. Lead and hulls are free if you know where to look and making your own shot is actually surprisingly easy (though I usually cast slugs since I shoot 12 gauge on the range mostly) using a lead dipper with a series of pinholes in the bottom which you hold over a deep container filled with coolant (machining coolant is what a lot of people use, it has anti-boiling additives that cool the lead faster), the lead drops freeze into spheres as they fall through the coolant, and the shot size can be controlled by the size of the pinholes. Get your primers now while you can though, who knows when the next drought will happen?
@@TheExplosiveGuy Hi Mark, intersting to read how you do it. We can't shoot lead here anymore. Only steel or, euhm bismuth. Dont know what it is in English! For know I am pretty set on shells, can shoot a lot 😉😉
