Awww man now I realize we wont walk past each other. Mexico city has changed. But prices for good apartments are cheaper now. But when this all started I thought about how smart it would be to go. Thank God I live by Chapultepec I got good walks with safe space
Wow, big news, but sounds like a sensible choice given the circumstances. Take care, safe travels, and look forward to updates from the new location ! 🌺
Thank you so much! I'll definitely be sharing updates in the coming weeks! We're in quarantine to make sure we don't spread the virus in our new little town, but already it feels better to be able to sit out in the sun and breath a bit of fresh sea air!
A donde vas ? No te vayas hermosa te llevo serenata para que no te vayas . Bueno a donde vayas te deseo lo mejor eres hermosa e inteligente . Recuerda que México es tu casa siempre .
Thanks you guys! It was stressful and difficult, but now that we've left and we're in the sunshine and the fresh air, it feels like we made the right decision, just hard to see it at the time as I'm sure you guys know all too well. xx
I am an eternal expat too, 8 years in Central America! With of course some mexico trips along the way! LOVE your videos my business took a hit too ' I am glad i found your channel!
Do you think it will be safe to visit CDMX in September or it still too soon to tell? Mexico may not want Americans flying in with the rise in covid rates up here. :( I hope you have fun on your new adventure.
I really don't know at this point. I doubt very much that Mexico will ban any particular nationality from traveling into the country, so I wouldn't worry about that being a problem. I'll keep you updated on how things are looking in the city in the next few weeks now that they've moved into the next phase of reopening.
Hey, I found your channel through your blog and it's been a great resource about life in Mexico. Change is stressful but also exciting. Looking forward to keeping up with your adventures!
I’m moving to CDMX for school either in September or January. This really puts things into perspective that you’re leaving the city! Thank you sharing and hopefully you get to move back!
Things will no doubt start changing for the better, but it's definitely going to take a while to get back to the city it was pre-covid. Hope you get to experience some of the beauty (and food! and culture! and people!) soon :)
Hola from Canada and safe travels. Looking forward to your new chapter in your Mexico travels. Might I make a suggestion for when things get back to normal it would nice to see the towns on the tren Maya route. Take care
oh noooooooooooooooooooooo leaving Mexico City!!! I know this was a hard decision! Best of luck to you querida, I hope you end up coming back to some nature-y part of Mexico City and I look forward to seeing where you will be in the west coast! So glad you aren't leaving the country
Thank you so much, I'll definitely be back to the city again, but the change came at the right time, even if it was a bit forced. Hope you're staying well!
Because it is really just a temporary move at the moment, we looked for a town that was small, but still had amenities and was close to a big city if we needed any sort of medical attention. We wanted to be near the ocean and have a home that had some outdoor space since we knew we'd be quarantining there. We also wanted to go somewhere that we've never been before. Also, I prefer the west coast in general to the east coast beaches, so that narrowed it down a bit.
Lots of reasons - mostly that we had to give up our apartment so we decided to leave number one because it's safer outside of the city right now and number two because our money will go a lot further outside of the city. We're temporarily renting by the coast right now and will see what happens in the coming months.
It's already proven to be a great decision. We're quarantining for two weeks, but we have a nice outdoor space to sit in the sunshine, which is already a huge improvement from our situation in Mexico City!
you made a smart decision and you will learn about another place , and you will survive!!!Best of luck and wishes, and maybe you'll find other opportunities for work in your new place, maybe teaching english !! let us know, you're making lemonade when the virus gave us all lemons.....
Good morning, I know it must be very tough emotionally to uproot and have to go elsewhere. I don't know if you can view this as another opportunity to experience Mexico yet, but this might be a wonderful thing in the long run. I enjoyed Manzanillo when we visited it twice. Que Dios los bendiga.
Definitely headed to the beach! I need some fresh sea air in my life. We're quarantining in our place that we've just arrived in for two weeks so as not to spread the virus in case we perhaps contracted in during our travels, but after that, I can't wait to show you guys this part of the country!
Oh no! I can’t believe you’re moving, well I wish you all the best wherever you land in Mexico. I guess you will be shifting focus to a more coastal video blog. Remember your spf.lol . I always thought we would meet you one day in cdmx. For a taco and drinking adventure. Good luck my friend
Binge watching your videos...keeping up with your journey. I can TOTALLY relate to the hard decisions made during 2020.

Sorry to hear you have to move but it's good to hear you found some open space on the west coast. Good luck on your move!
Thanks! For now, it's just temporary, but now that we're here I'm wondering why we'd leave! haha

Sorry that u are disappointed. I look forward to seeing videos of the new city. Mexico City is nice. I'm most interested in the smaller cities.
I'll definitely be sharing smaller cities in the coming months. Thank you for your comment and for your support!
Tough decisions. Would love to hear how did you come up with new location. Best of luck! Look forward to new journey! Keep us posted. Stay safe!
Would also love to hear that - the criteria and decision-making process used to determine your new location...

I dont understand why you're leaving CDMX. Safety reasons?

We're temporarily renting by the coast right now and will see what happens in the coming months.
Stay safe and healthy. You guys should be able to adapt to any other city. Keep us posted. .
Please keep us posted. I am looking to move from the USA and relocate to Mérida in the future. Enjoyed watching your videos
Thank you, I'll definitely be continuing to share content from around Mexico, just perhaps from different couches haha!
Appears as though u left Mexico City just in time to avoid the earthquake. 😯
Yea, quite scary think about.
I think you have made the best decision.
Thank you so much :)
Good luck with ur move. Sounds like a good idea 2 move 2 a place where u have access to more of the outdoors/nature. 🙂

Good luck! Safety first. What sport?
He's a football (soccer) coach :)
What's your name and where you're from?
Sounds like a move for the better.
That's called click bait.
Do you think you’ll stay in Mexico forever
I don't know, but I know I'll be staying here for now :)
