You are an inspiration and a revelation.
Excellent video, fantastic trees 🌳
Thank you Kathy for your instructional videos. I am a military modeler wanting to do some dioramas and your videos helped me out a lot with the basics to start. Cheers
Glad I could help!
This is awesome and informative. Thank you!
Great video. Very handy :)
Very informative beginner video. A lot of useful information in one tutorial.
Thanks a lot.
They are just about the best trees I've seen. Great work.
I love everything you do.
Great tutorial Kathy! Thanks for sharing these ideas for tree making.
Wow! Kathy, super informative and helpful. And all in 5 minutes! Outstanding. Thanks.
Nicely explained, loadsa techniques both detailed or quick & simple... Nice ideas 👏🙂
Another brilliant video very useful thanks Kathy
I find trees really do add another element of realisim to a layout or scene very nice video Kathy.
Treemendous video, lots of useful tips and ideas. Thanks.
Great tutorial, Kathy! Thanks for the inspiration.
I use wire and milliput time consuming but great results.
Nice one Kathy. Some great tips in this video on trees especially as I'm about to embark on a "tremendous" tree production line for my Southern Montana RR. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Great ideas!!! Thanks, I have lots to do now on a rainy day !! ;)
Kathy I absolutely loved this quick tree video! Your scenes always look so vibrant and realistic thanks for sharing this overview!
I approve of trees.
Always a time burner but you can’t beat natural materials in foreground. Here in Idaho I use sagebrush for trunk bases. Love the videos
Great video. Found a couple tricks I haven't even tried yet, but now going to try them. Thank you for the information.
Nice overview of the techniques
Fantastic! Thank you. 👍
Perfect, my favorite topic.
Luke sent me here
and
Daaaaaaamn This channel is lit.
Your trees look amazing. There is another trick I use for quick trees that look ultra realistic. Digging up certain plants from the garden will give you roots that are not only perfect in shape for trees but the color is correct. You can even use washes on them for varied color. Dip them in diluted matte medium and some Noch leaves and you have perfect foreground trees really quickly.
Excellent, thanks!
It's brilliant! The main thing that is shown is how to maintain perspective. And make the forest a forest, not a bunch of trees.
How to make trees has already been shown and told countless times.

Hi Kathy, thanks for another interesting and informative video, I remember at an exhibition some years back, someone was demonstrating how to make trees using florists wire, which he coated using hot glue, he then sprayed it with grey primer using a rattle-can, as a base-colour, it was amazing how quickly it came together, anyway, stay safe, all the best from Scotland, Stephen.
Hot glue is an interesting idea. Thanks for that.
This is amazing
Hi Kathy, Nice video, You can make anything look good, with alot of practice mine still not as good as yours, (I'll keep trying) All the Best Brian 🤗
It’s true! Not every tree has to be amazing. Only the important ones!
They make it like that
This looks very Luke Towan Kathy, take it as a compliment
Excellent video Kathy, I am hoping to create a video about making trees from my Wws friends I just hope I don't tread on your toes
Go for it! That’s not treading on my toes.
Hi - luv your videos! I was wondering which static grass applicator you recommend? I was hoping to buy one.the Woodland scenic has some bad reviews. Thanks so much.
I use Noch but mostly because they sent it me. Luke at Geek Gaming recently did a YT review of all the major brands which would be worth checking out.
I also use HO and Z trees on my N scale railroad. Using the right perspective, nobody would know.
Luke sent me over, said you would know why I was here.
what do you do with all of the ones you make?
They’re on shelves in my house… I am running out of room.
What "something" do you use to disguise the wire? I've tried a fibrous glue mulch in the past but it tends to be a pain...
I use brushable latex rubber with a bit of sawdust or ground foam in it.
@@KathyMillatt Thanks! Watched your Halo video after and I saw you did the same there for the pine branches :)
I would add that the most common mistake many make when twisting up the wire to make the basic frame, is making the first part of the branches too long.
Always keep them short otherwise the outside ends of the branches get too far apart and the middle is far too open.
I have definitely done that!
@@KathyMillatt .
It is very easy to do. :-)
Luke says hi.
Who else here from Luke town?
Me lol
Me 😂
