In the 1st part of our 4-part series, James & Nolan start off this episode with a bang: the unbelievable feud between Ford and Ferrari in the early 20th century.
This legendary rivalry between Ford and Ferrari at Le Mans begins with the story of perhaps the most influential people in car history: Enzo Ferrari. From his early life growing up in his father’s machine shop, to buying his first race car, and the creation of Scuderia Ferrari, we’re covering all things Enzo Ferrari.

Why? There's nothing more to the story, other than what was shown in The Grand Tour.
Lancia never won in group B again, as group B was shelved in 86(3 years after the victory in 83).
Also are you even aware as to how a rally works? There is no "battle", just who can go can go the fastest in each stage, without wrecking the car.
Something you would have known, if ya bothered to do a simple google search.

In the movie (Ford V Ferrari) the Ferrari P4 has a roof, but if I remember correctly the real P4 didn't have a roof.
There were P4's with and without roofs
There were a few models with the roof. But still most don't have a roof.

So many years later and this might still be my favorite series in the podcast. Joe adds a lot, especially as he gets more comfortable, but the two of them joking around in this series feels perfectly balanced bc the actual story is long enough to support it without feeling an extended up to speed.
As an Italian i laughed at them trying to spell Italian names. Especially "Giorgino Colombo". You would spell that like: "Jorgeeno Colombo." Hope this helps :)

Very good podcast. I liked that it was very audio friendly, i was able to just listen to this in the background at work, which is cool and new from Donut. I liked the topic and I'm excited to hear more next week. It's always very cool to learn about famous people you dislike (ie Enzo), but even better to learn about people you idolize (ie Ford), so I hope next week starts to go into Ford a bit. Love you guys. you guys are friggin funny. Love the history behind the man and the cars. I visited the factory back in 1984 and saw the 288 gto and the Testa Rossa, it was so amazing to be able to tour the factory and allowed to sit in one of Gilles Villeneuve's f1 cars.
