An idea for the natural light at front of house. You could do a storm door…glass door that’s added like a “screen” door in front of your door. Then you can open your front door and have a glass door so light/sun comes in. I have one and love it!

I can why a lot people don’t decorate with books in the kitchen.. because they MESSY AF. Books in my kitchen would get ruined by some type of cooking/food related incident for sure.

Your kitchen is amazingly big and nice to entertaining and also I like the white cabinets on white walls it looks clean and minimalist but before you waste more than $100K in a new one try to paint it will save a lot of money you can also replace the doors in a completely different style keeping the frame. Great job, your house is stunning.

If the roof line isn’t ideal for a skylight in the entry don’t force it. When you’re ready find a door you love that will maintain privacy, but let the light in. You should be able to sell the current door to offset some of the $.

Love the tour & the house. In my opinion, in the primary room it is better to close the entrance to the shower room with a wall, so that on the other side there will be the toilets, in a new location. and the new entrance through the main round entrance of the room. That way, there will also be privacy for those who shower because the new toilet will be in front.

Thanks for the reminder that I didn't talk about this in my video so I'll definitely update my community in the next Vlog but if you must know: 1) We don't use the fireplace. SoCal never gets cold enough. So it seems odd to place focus on something we never use when arranging our space to make it useful for us. 2) Not a fan of large TV's over a fireplace. Especially with bookcases surrounding the mantle, it gets too busy for our liking and looking up at a TV isn't great for posture. It should be eye level. I don't know anyone that prefers to sit at the front of a movie theater and look up at the screen. 3) I think people should definitely design their space the way they want based on how they use their home and I also think it's ok to not like how someone designs their home. The beauty of it all... is that it's their home. Not yours, so at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what they do 😊 So next time, feel free to ask a question if you're actually curious about something vs posting a passive aggressive comment. Or simply... move along.

Hey thanks! That's certainly an interesting idea, there were a lot of pain points, do's and don'ts we learned throughout the process. Hello sir! For the close up b-roll shots, I was using a 35-150mm Tamron and then any push and pull b-roll was from the DJI Osmo pocket 3!

Hi Mikee, new fan here! Your house is gorgeous!! Can you make a video about the process of purchasing a new build in California? Like what questions to ask, the inspection process as they're building, working with a real estate agent and so forth. Planning to buy a new build condo with my partner and we have no idea where to start. Would love your take! (And more long videos like this please)
Hey thanks! That's certainly an interesting idea, there were a lot of pain points, do's and don'ts we learned throughout the process. I'd have to really take myself back there and jot some notes down so I can remember the process. Feel free to email me (email is in description of my vids)... If I end up taking notes, I can share them with you. Just not sure if or when I'd be able to do a video on it.

Thanks Daniel! We debated showing some of those drone clips but I guess if I ever get popular enough to where it would be a problem, I'd say it would be worth it 😂 but will definitely be cautious if I do end of filming the exterior!
