    Our boys left so theres no one to play drums at our church, i stepped up to the plate and im learning to play as much as i can - it is haaard because I'm a singer/guitar player - but im binge watchimg your vids hopeing to learn a lot and get better. My sister finds it annoying how i put you on repeat but I put the volume up anyway because you are a good teacher and all your vidoes are informative.

    My friend I totally love the way you teach. I ha e learned so much since I first started watching your videos. I tried a few others but for some reason you have an ability to show and at the same time explain how why and what you are doing to get the results your intending to achieve. Simply one if not the best drum channels out there today. I've been playing about 30 years but now my skills are starting to show that I have played that long. Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Rob you’ve done so much on helping me level up on the drums. Your so right on sticking to the basics of singles and doubles and working on my timing. Much love ♥️🙏🏻

    Thank you Rob. i appreciate the break down and explanation. That Gaddalicious word had me seriously rolling! You have a unique way with vocab that's both appropriate and shareable. Gotta say.

    Rob Brown, truly one of the greatest living drummers. He may deny it now, because he so young, and humble, but it is true.

    Hey Rob. Love the Tee. Just ordered a hoodie version. Gonna be the coolest cat this Christmas. Will you be playing at your church this Chrismas? I will be. We will be starting rehearsals soon. Take it easy buddy. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thanks so much for your lessons. They give me so much inspiration.

    Fantastic Rob. Gadd played on Chuck E's in love by Ricky Lee Jones and this seems to be a speeded up version of the iconic lick he played part way through the song. We played that song in one of my old bands and I absolutely loved playing it. One of Gadd's iconic moments.

    Rob, from the 5:50 point, what is that lick you're playing. i've heard it before, but want to know the song name. What say you? i know it's a shuffle of sorts, just dunno the song name that i heard it from.

    • @sterky_
      @sterky_ 5 лет назад

      Not Rob but its the Rosanna Shuffle from the Toto's Rosanna!

    • @josuemontalvo221
      @josuemontalvo221 5 лет назад +1

      @@sterky_ More like the intro he plays is the rosanna shuffle

    • @Mudge07
      @Mudge07 5 лет назад

      Remember, the Rosanna Shuffle has a "Bo Diddley" foot pattern, so the single F here, means it's not quite taking that groove. Fine work all the same and works equally well for those who use 'open hand' technique as their grip choice.

    Imagine Steve Gadd snare with Stewart Copeland hi hat. Not a drummer. So I would have no idea if that would be too much.

    ex2 was such a bitchen rhythm before you put flutter in it. I could write all day on that. It speaks uplifting. but again didn't like flutter in it.
