1:57, That ride part, I just love. Rob, your jazz is so simple, technical and groovy. Each time I hear you play, I learn and improve! Many thanks, and keep it up! 🙂
Now this is what I’m talking about . Stopped by for a quick drum lesson. Rob is helping me out with my Christmas shopping. Doesn’t get any better . Great lesson thx man
Our boys left so theres no one to play drums at our church, i stepped up to the plate and im learning to play as much as i can - it is haaard because I'm a singer/guitar player - but im binge watchimg your vids hopeing to learn a lot and get better. My sister finds it annoying how i put you on repeat but I put the volume up anyway because you are a good teacher and all your vidoes are informative.
My friend I totally love the way you teach. I ha e learned so much since I first started watching your videos. I tried a few others but for some reason you have an ability to show and at the same time explain how why and what you are doing to get the results your intending to achieve. Simply one if not the best drum channels out there today. I've been playing about 30 years but now my skills are starting to show that I have played that long. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Rob you’ve done so much on helping me level up on the drums. Your so right on sticking to the basics of singles and doubles and working on my timing. Much love ♥️🙏🏻
Thank you Rob. i appreciate the break down and explanation. That Gaddalicious word had me seriously rolling! You have a unique way with vocab that's both appropriate and shareable. Gotta say.
Hey brother, I'll take that paiste 22" swish you got setting on the floor to the left of you.Thats the HOLY Grail of cymbals there.!!! I'll get one someday.
Another fantastic post by Rob Beatdown Brown - thanks for that - I always find your videos really inspiring & inspirational - have a great Christmas !!
Hey Rob. Love the Tee. Just ordered a hoodie version. Gonna be the coolest cat this Christmas. Will you be playing at your church this Chrismas? I will be. We will be starting rehearsals soon. Take it easy buddy. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thanks so much for your lessons. They give me so much inspiration.
Fantastic Rob. Gadd played on Chuck E's in love by Ricky Lee Jones and this seems to be a speeded up version of the iconic lick he played part way through the song. We played that song in one of my old bands and I absolutely loved playing it. One of Gadd's iconic moments.
I'll just Write in Dutch, that is is great to have a inspiring drum teacher. Hoi Rob, super gaaf wat je doet, ga zo door. ik heb een mok en een shirt gevraagd aan Sinterklaas. Greetings from the Netherlands, the country where Amsterdam is a part of. ;-)
Rob, from the 5:50 point, what is that lick you're playing. i've heard it before, but want to know the song name. What say you? i know it's a shuffle of sorts, just dunno the song name that i heard it from.
Remember, the Rosanna Shuffle has a "Bo Diddley" foot pattern, so the single F here, means it's not quite taking that groove. Fine work all the same and works equally well for those who use 'open hand' technique as their grip choice.
"...don't overstay your welcome" -lmao Great lesson and video production, as usual, and that AF snare is 🔥. Just out of curiosity...what does it weigh?
Tiddly boom ts ts boom ts ts b'boom. Tiddly tiddy boom ts ts boom ts ts b'boom BOOM. The rhythm is all inside your head Gadd said to me ... it'll come easy if we take it logically .... Thank you once again, Mr. Brown!

That's just sick dropping this into a shuffle..... 5:47... my favorite application of this one.
Thank you Rob. i appreciate the break down and explanation. That Gaddalicious word had me seriously rolling! You have a unique way with vocab that's both appropriate and shareable. Gotta say.
Rob Brown, truly one of the greatest living drummers. He may deny it now, because he so young, and humble, but it is true.
Man, I can't get over how awesome that snare sounds!!! I'm going to ask Santa!
Yep! It stands out. Like the man playing it :)
Received my Drummer For Hire Hoodie the other day. So, so cool. I'll be wearing it with pride. Great stuff Rob.

This one is great on the up-beat too. Putting in rl or rlrl brings alot to it.
Great Video as always.......whats that Snare? Looks cool and sounds dope!
WOW! Love watching your playing dude! Ode to Gadd! Hey, that’s sounds like a good name for a song. Just give me credit! 😆

Anytime, Rob.🤘⚡🥁
yep - lovely
Good video Rob
is That an A&F snare ? Sounds Great
Soon I'll be fluttering away at my drumset🥁
DO IT 🤘🏽🔥
Thank for everything! How can I get the merch in India?
Also what is the dog tag that you are wearing? I assume it is drum related?
Hey Rob! Do you have a video discussing that A&F snare? Did you scoop it up from Long & McQuade since they started carrying them?
There’s a whole review/backstory video on the channel. Posted it a couple weeks back
Rob, from the 5:50 point, what is that lick you're playing. i've heard it before, but want to know the song name. What say you? i know it's a shuffle of sorts, just dunno the song name that i heard it from.
Not Rob but its the Rosanna Shuffle from the Toto's Rosanna!
@@sterky_ More like the intro he plays is the rosanna shuffle
Remember, the Rosanna Shuffle has a "Bo Diddley" foot pattern, so the single F here, means it's not quite taking that groove. Fine work all the same and works equally well for those who use 'open hand' technique as their grip choice.
Imagine Steve Gadd snare with Stewart Copeland hi hat. Not a drummer. So I would have no idea if that would be too much.

muito bom( awesome), valeu thanks
I am very disappointed Rob that you are calling this "special" time xmas? What are you thinking?
I’m thinking ‘CHRISTMASGROOVE’ was too many characters for the discount code box. 👋🏽😑Calm down
Rob Brown ya I know, keep calm.....
who could put a thumbs down on this?..weirdo
ex2 was such a bitchen rhythm before you put flutter in it. I could write all day on that. It speaks uplifting. but again didn't like flutter in it.
